  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When I was on Gab, there was this guy I respected because I thought he was a genuine Christian and he said and promoted good, amazing things. (I longer believe that)

One time I had asked him a genuine question related to missionary trips to other countries and the Bible. He never responded. He was the type that was against missionary trips other than the home country.

I realized today why he believes that (and perhaps this is why he ignored my question) - because he's not about obeying Jesus, he's about defending Nationalism and his own race (the White race). He can't argue against foreign missionary trips using the Bible, so he used Nationalism and maybe the White race to argue against it.

Hi, Vanilla. Yup. I can make a few things, but my cooking skills could always use improvement too. But we're no Gordon Ramsey that is for sure.

What is on my mind? I had time with someone very special to me today, a day I will never forget.

I've been wanting to buy a new NIV Bible. The one that I read from was given to me by my grandma a long time ago; it's the 1984 translation. The current NIV translation is from 2011.

I probably have to buy a new Bible every few years: I beat mine up by reading it so much, I really do.

When my mom got married eons ago she was given this HUGE white Bible as a gift. Sadly, its so old it has practically disintegrated into nothing...I don't know why she still has it to be honest. It's an eyesore. Maybe it is sentimental to her? It was a wedding gift to her after all when she married my dad eons ago.

Good for you! Pancakes are yummy and I've been wanting some but haven't cooked in months. But hopefully that changes soon.

As for the recipe fails, if you have a link I can look at it or suggest an alternative. What's your favorite ingredients? Vegetables, spices, etc. Once I know your palate I can point you to a source. If you like a lot of flavor or specific cuisines mention that too. :sparkles::yellowheart:

PS. The Father will help with domesticity if you're struggling. Tell Him what the problem is. He still helps me til this day. ;-)

I was reminiscing about the past.

Growing up, I was one of those people who valued personal freedom and autonomy. My parents were really strict, however. They imposed a lot of rules on me. As you can imagine, I struggled living with so many rules. I wanted to do things. For a child who just wanted her freedom, having a pair of really strict parents breathing down your neck at every turn can feel like oppression eventually. I remember at 15, I finally rebelled. I couldn't take what felt like oppression to me anymore. But when I became 18 I finally got the freedom I had always wanted, the right to live life on my own terms. That is what happens when people become adults, the "reigns" are taken fully off, so to speak, and you can do whatever you want.

I had often sat here wondering how many adults live out in the world who had a similar experience that I had. Did they wish they had more freedom? Did they think their folks were too strict?

Anyway, enough about that.

I am going to a ladies' luncheon at my church soon. Sorry, guys, you can't come. :( Its only for us ladies.

Hey, bella.

I haven't made pancakes in a long time. I do know how to make them, though.

Speaking of specific cuisines, my older sister makes a lot of Indian Food (even though she is Caucasian and not Indian). You know, food from India. The smell smells like sweet spices and permeates the whole house. Have you ever made anything like that, bella?

She let me eat some of it a few times, but I guess its too rich for my system because I had stomach issues and threw a lot of it up. Haven't eaten it since.

So I am home from the Luncheon now.

Everything went fine. Personally, though, I have never seen so many ladies all together in one space. I felt like I was lost in a sea of femininity. Lol.

We all had lunch together then played some games and my mom even won a prize. That was nice.

I came home and had a short nap. I was feeling really sleepy for some reason. Must be my medication.

Hi bella!! [Hugs] :hug::hug::):):cookie::cookie::custard::custard:

I forgot where I found the recipe for the Mac and Cheese. :(:( It had Sour Cream as one of the ingredients to add, but I did not really like it in Mac and Cheese. I thought I would like the Sour Cream because I love Sour Cream And Onion chips haha. :cookie::cookie::custard::custard:
Also the mac and cheese was not creamy enough. It was too sticky and the cheese was too thick. :(:(:sweatsmile::cookie::cookie::custard::custard:

I really love onions and basil is very nice too!! I love Italian food!! But I also love Comfort Foods like Mac and Cheese, Pot Pies, Sweet Potato Casserole!! I love soups also!! :cookie::cookie::custard::custard::):):cheer::cheer::clap::clap:

Thank you so much for your kindness and helpfulness bella. [Hugs]:hug::hug::hug::cookie::cookie::custard::custard:

I hope you are having a great week!!:hug::):):cookie::cookie::custard::custard:

Would you prefer your parents were strict but less so (gave you less rules) OR not strict at all (totally permissive) ??

Sometimes I feel like I'm losing my mind. Lol. I can't believe how stressful life has become and I'm being pulled in every direction and can't be everywhere at once.
God’s love be with you!
