WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump declared that the United States will always remain "one nation under God" while warning that "Godless communists" pose a threat to the country's future.
Speaking at the Faith & Freedom Coalition's Road to Majority Conference at the Washington Hilton, Trump reflected on the nation's upcoming 250th anniversary, highlighted what he described as victories for religious liberty and urged supporters to remain politically engaged ahead of the midterm elections.
The event took place two months after the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was abruptly called off after an assassination attempt on the president's life at the same venue.
