Continuing to pray for you Maggie. What you are facing is incredibly difficult. I can only say that Jesus will never forsake you. He is with you always.

I pray that you will feel His presence, feel His comforting arms. May He strengthen your faith when you feel He is not there. May he fill your heart with peace.

And I pray for peace and understanding for your son and daughter in law. May God give them the reassurance of His love and the wisdom of His Word as they care for you. Amen Lord, Amen.

You are not alone, yet I can begin to understand what you are going thru. There are times when our feelings take the best of us. God seems so far. Yet, his promises never change my dear, so hold on to them!

The closest I can come to understanding is losing a childhood friend to cancer 2 years ago. At first diagnosis he was very bad, but receiving treatment at Stanford Medical Care, he slowly started to improve, Lymphoma is what he had. Started to improve and regain weight. Then 2 years later the cancer came back and took him away quickly. We were blindsided. The only consolation is I used to call him often and pray with him. He put his faith in the Lord Jesus for the first time in his life. Often he would tell me, "Paul, I'm ready to go. I'm gonna keep fighting, but I'm ready to go." I got to see him two days before he passed. Now I find solace that he trusted in Christ.

So things are out of our hands. Maggie you stay strong, hold on to your Lord Jesus. I will stop here with the words of Amy Carmichael, who spent her last years 20 year of her live as and Invalid in bed. Amy Carmichael: Unconditionally Surrendered to Her Beloved King

I have stage 4B lung cancer, it has spread to my brain, liver, & spine. You are in good company. Do not allow your thoughts to defeat you before the cancer does, otherwise you forsake the victory. Your faith should be in the Lord, not in the medicine, for faith placed in the wrong object is dangerous. The smallest amount of faith in God to heal you is greater than the upmost faith in man to treat you. The Lord has not forsaken you but entrusted you with much. If you only ever loved Christ when things were going well, that wouldn’t be much of a relationship, you must also love Him in the dark. I pray that the Lord give you rest. Godspeed; may heavens grace carry you.

if not by communion, at least by grace and love.

Stay with me, Jesus, I do not ask for divine consolation, because I do not merit it,
but the gift of Your Presence, oh yes, I ask this of You!

Stay with me, Lord, for it is You alone I look for, Your Love, Your Grace, Your Will, Your Heart, Your Spirit, because I love You and ask no other reward but to love You more and more.

With a firm love, I will love You with all my heart while on earth
and continue to love You perfectly during all eternity. Amen
