• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Crown him the Lord of love; Behold his hands and side, those wounds yet visible above, in beauty glorified.
No angels in the sky can fully bear that sight, but downward bends their burning eye at mysteries so bright.

And what did you hear, my blue-eyed son?
And what did you hear, my darling young one?
I heard the sound of a thunder, it roared out a warnin’
Heard the roar of a wave that could drown the whole world
Heard one hundred drummers whose hands were a-blazin’
Heard ten thousand whisperin’ and nobody listenin’
Heard one person starve, I heard many people laughin’
Heard the song of a poet who died in the gutter
Heard the sound of a clown who cried in the alley
And it’s a hard, and it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard
And it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

You have no rival!
You have no equal!
Now & forever God you reign!
Death could not hold you!
The veil tore before you!
Silenced the boast of sin & death!
The heavens are roaring the praise of your glory!
Yours is the kingdom!
Yours is the glory!

Everybody's been down.
Hit the bottom, hit the ground.
Ooh, you're not alone.
Just take a breath; don't forget.
Hang on to His promises.
He wants you to know:
You're an overcomer.

Whatever my lot, be it weakness in health,
If left without riches; abounding in wealth.
Whatever I have of it all I do bring,
And lay it all down at the feet of the king.

At the feet of the king
At the feet of the king
I lay it all down at the feet of the king.

If lacking in talents just as the world sees,
Just give Him your all, and say do as you please.
He uses each person, whatever their lot,
The small to the greatest, just give all you’ve got.

At the feet of the king
At the feet of the king
Just lay it all down at the feet of the king.

No matter my stature, or status in life,
Delighting in pleasure, or caught up in strife.
Whatever I have of it all I do bring,
And lay it all down at the feet of the king.

At the feet of the king
At the feet of the king
I lay it all down at the feet of the king.

[Verse 1]
On a long and lonesome highway, east of Omaha
You can listen to the engine moanin' out his one note song
You can think about the woman or the girl you knew the night before
But your thoughts will soon be wanderin' the way they always do
When you're ridin' sixteen hours and there's nothin' there to do
And you don't feel much like ridin', you just wish the trip was through

[Chorus]
Here I am
On the road again
There I am
On the stage
Here I go
Playin' star again
There I go
Turn the page

“God, can you hear me?
I'm screamin' at the top of my lungs
Barely breathin'
Covered and soaked in my blood
I'm broken, I'm weak, can't stand on my feet
I'll give you my all, just answer me please
God, can you hear me?
Can you hear me?”

Spittin' the Trinity, hook, line, and sequence
In your brain like a G6, no secrets
My faith's my life, but you're rolling the dice
If you try to push me, it ain't gonna be nice

(Thousand Foot Krutch "I Get Wicked", I expected the song to be based on Paul's "oh wretched man that I am" passage, but it ended up being about defending one's faith when criticized for it)
