CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
What if Trump simply refuses to leave the White House? Or if Congress refuses to meer because of perceived election fraud?

Trump will never be put in prison for his multiple crimes, president or not. I wouldn't be surprised with what Trump does. Or what his supporters try to help him do. Trump and his people are trying to stop democrats votes, so Democrats don't win. I'm unhappy when republicans win. Because they are war hungry. They take programs away from the poor. And get America in more dept. I'm happy with Dem Democratic president or officials. Yes, a normal person doesn't agree with everything, that Republican or Democrat president does. If they do it's because they are in a cult, like situation. Trump will be remembered with terrorizing American's, wasting millions of tax dollars in deporting hard-working illegals in different countries. Wasting money, that the future children will have to pay. The future children won't see any good of Trump.

I'm not sure what might happen.
What I've seen reported is that Trump tried to get the military to take over voting machines in after the vote in 2020, to "find the fraud." I suspect, had he been successful, he would have found enough votes in Georgia to ensure he won the election. There may have been more he wanted to do (some has been suggested) but we don't know, in particular because he had generals who would not get involved (which is why Gen. Milley is so disrespected by MAGA).
What also appears to be occurring, Trump has been replacing senior officers in our armed forces so that top leadership are people who are loyal to Trump; presumably to prevent a similar situation in 2028 as occurred in 2020, where the military would not do what he wanted.

I wouldn't be surprised with what Trump tries to do. I'm not sure if military gets involved. I stunned at what Trump has done. And what people has allowed him to do.
