  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Real hatred towards certain people is not wrong (proof from the Bible)

That's just false doctrine and false ideology. The Bible never says "hate the sin love the sinner." You got that from Gandhi, not the Bible, and Gandhi is roasting in the flames of hell right now.

So, what's your interpretation of Matthew 5:43-48 ?

Claiming your interpretation of Psalm 139 is disagreeing with God is just arrogant. But considering your attitude towards others, that's not surprising. Good luck to you... You have a lot to learn.
What is your interpretation of "perfect hatred"? I'm genuinely curious because it feels impossible to interpret that any other way than how I did (meaning, well, hatred that is perfect, leaving no room for love).

You're the pharisee who takes the popular view. The pharisees wanted to look righteous in the eyes of men, that's what you're doing. It's doesn't take much enlightenment or intelligence to read Psalm 139. If you have a problem with that you have a problem with God not me because I didn't write the Bible.
Pretty much every false prophet who's posted to CF gives the "I'm Jesus and you're the Pharisees" line. It's extremely unoriginal. Not that I'm calling you a false prophet. I'm just pointing out that you're in company with them.

That is only for God to judge. Only God can judge righteously, and He will judge you by the same measure you've judged Ghandi. I would not want to be in your shoes on the last day.

So you don't think it's right to hate the enemies of God?
When a person hates even the enemies of God, they lose sight of God. In my Love for God, I for one would not want to travel down that road.

So I'm in company of false prophets for hating the enemies of God? Just wow. The level of spiritual blindess on your part. You literally SHOULD hate those enemies if you even want God to bless/appreciate you and your life.

What has this to do with ethics and morality? Kindly take the discussion of who to hate over to the Christian only ethics and morality sub fora.
No, no, let him be, this is precious.

Did you happen to be fortunate enough to be born into a nation where access to Christianity was easier than, say a Muslim theocracy like Iran?

So you don't think it's right to hate the enemies of God? I truly, and I mean truly struggle to understand why people would genuinely feel like that. I'm filled with hatred and anger to the brim regards to the enemies of God.
So are there specific sins that you believe make a person an enemy of God? Or do all sins make a person an enemy of God?!

Assume we are simply dumb. What is your answer to the question?
Dark evil forces, demonic people, the workers of Satan, things of that nature. What kind of answer did you expect to that question?

Too often people talk about the idea that all people should be accepted and loved and that hatred is bad. This is completely wrong when we take scripture into consideration.

Psalms 139:21 says, "Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?"

What we can see from this specific scripture is that the guy is asking God, "do not I hate them..." like asking for validation that he's doing something right. Hatred is a good thing and if you have absolutely no hatred towards anyone, you are not certainly walking in the Spirit and you're not following the Bible.

Further on verse 22 the passage continues, "I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies."

Now in this verse hatred described here is even deeper than just any normal hatred or negative emotion. With "perfect hatred" he is saying that the people that he hates deserve no love.

From this scripture we can see how serious it is when people are haters or enemies of God. They should not be treated with love, patience, longsuffering, none of that. Sometimes people literally deserve no love and this is proven by scripture. The more you think about this the more you would realize that you should start hating people more and not be like a Pontius Pilate who want's to be on everyone's side. Even from a human perspective, you could conclude that hatred in and of itself should not be bad if God gave people emotions, hatred being one of them. God would not create something bad that shouldn't exist.

So what people would fall into this category of people that deserve no love? The enemies of God. The LGBTQ people for certain. The false prophets. The atheists, at least most of them. The list could continue.
The most extreme example I can think of in a lot of what you are saying can often be found in Chick tracts. To the credit of the late Jack Chick ( that was his real name), in his own way really wanted to save souls. For whatever someone might think of him, he actually believed in forgiveness.

Just expected an actual answer to the questions. Here they are again.

They don't deserve the gospel. It's literally that simple.
Jonah thought the Ninevites did not deserve to hear the word of the Lord.

The Lord thought differently.

You are just as wrong as Jonah.

The only question is: When are you going to meet your own big fish?

So why does God send his enemies to be roasting in hell fire forever? Is God following his own commands? Obviously they are both true. But you can find contradictions in the Bible if you want to play dumb and have no intention of understanding it.
Your error is failing to realize who your enemies are.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Yes, the sin of being an enemy of God. If you don't know what an enemy is, you can use google and a dictionary to figure it out by yourself.
