  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am curious why Republicans ignore Trump's wrong doing.

They may not have gotten to $200 (the highest it's ever gotten was about $140 in 2008), but $91.69 is 37% higher than it was in February. That's the sharpest increase on record:

Gasoline has also been dropping sharply. It'll take Californians longer to notice it since they get taxed by their leadership so much more for simply being in California.
I don't read NYT, for good reason. It seems that they're the only ones still talking about it. Everyone else has seen the light and moved onto other things to hate Trump for.

With all the excess oil Iran is storing up, the oil market will be flooded with so much oil that the price will undoubedly collapse once it's allowed to be released into the marketplace.

It appears you also ignored all the signs until you could not take it any longer. Some Republicans, like myself, saw it immediately as he was going down the escalator and some are holdouts , even if he shoots someone on Fifth avenue, this is the other extreme . Then there are people like MTG who paved the way for Trump until she finally snapped out of it. So you ask why Republicans ignore his wrong doings? Well I am sad to say the Evangelical Christians remain a highly disproportionate and foundational share of his remaining base. Why? Because these people believe he was sent by God but for all the wrong reasons. Our Father has sent them a delusion to test their faith and love. They have fallen far from truth.

Be blessed.

Right, even in Orlando, Southern Baptists are ostracizing women from becoming pastors. It's like we're still in the dark ages.

I have stated many times on the forum I do not believe Trump is a perfect man. Although I am not convinced he is a rapist. Why do I support him even though accusations swirl around him? What other choice do I have? A Democratic Party with leadership headed at break neck speed toward socialism, and communism ? Those that support open borders, protect real criminals, support child mutilation, abortion? Those that have disdain for this country and its system of government ? Those that support taxes and more taxes while ignoring or participating in massive fraud in government programs intended to help children and those that can not help themselves? What choice do I have? I support Trump because he does love this country and what it was founded to be. He has been berated , litigated, attempted assassinated, more than any previous president, yet he still stands strong and fights for this country as founded despite the constant barrage of accusations and slander heaped on him daily. Maybe the question should be why is he so demonized by so many and at least up to this point indestructible? You show me someone who truly loves and actually fights for the American people and this country as founded, more than Trump and I will support them.
You revealed the answer.
Trump points to problems and creates scapegoats--undocumented immigrants, blue states, progressive politicians, Pope Leo--creating the most outrageous lies and creating fear and hatred.
He remagines common sense policies which create better lives for citizens of every other developed country in the world--universal healthcare, paid sick leave and parental leave, affordable and free higher education, etc.--as socialism. It's not.
He claims he is persecuted by truth tellers while vengefully suing media organizations and even the IRS for up to $10 billion. He gains $1.7 billion to compensate pardoned criminals in his insurrectionist militia--perhaps keeping them for a 2029 sequel?
Look beyond what he says about socialism, immigrants, progressive politicians. Look beyond Fox News and listen to other sources.
Democrats don't want socialism and communism any more than true conservatives want oligarchy and fascism.
Listen to the true conservatives, principled people who risk their careers because they are patriots.

Not really. It is quite clear to pretty much everyone that Trump's detractors will exaggerate and even fabricate things against him simply because they don't like him and they resent the fact that he won another election and is the president rather than their own guy being the president. When we see enough false claims being made against him, it is obvious that his detractors are doing nothing but crying wolf. That's when we know to ignore them.
So all this talk about his so-called failings and "behavior" becomes quite easy to to ignore after hearing about it for the past six years.
Actually with Maine Democrat voters electing a confirmed Nazi to run for Congress on the upcoming election, they really can’t claim that they hate anything about Trump. They have outed themselves and elected an actual Nazi.

LOL. You can’t stand what he says and does and so blame the actual problems as “scapegoats”.

“PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN”. That’s what it sounds like when the left speaks. “There isn’t any child trafficking, it’s just a made-up crisis by Trump.” “There’s no Medicaid or Medicare fraud, it’s just another made-up crisis by Trump.” And on and on.

He cares so much about child trafficking that he dragged his feet on the Epstein files.

And the same people were in favor of supporting Ukraine, where there were also genuine self-proclaimed Nazis. It goes to show that a great number on the side who calls Trump a Nazi (and even Hitler himself) has an affinity for the same.

You sure about that?
Enough to send billions of dollars in arms to Ukraine? Check!
Enough to be popular in the MSM? Check!
Enough to get a self-described Nazi nominated? Check!

Yeah, I'm sure.

And you know what? All I heard was crickets chirping when Biden was president. Trump had the lot released by the time he was in office a year.

Maxwell was working through her appeals until the closing months of the Biden administration. Can’t (or at least shouldn’t) release them with an active case going.

So that’s the reason the left is giving now.

Stats show that immigrants are more law-abiding than native born Americans. Of course they are! If you had to live under the radar you'd be more careful, too.

I know there is some Medicare fraud. One of the biggest offenders was Republican Senator (former Gov.) Rick Scott, whose company bilked the government of many millions. Maybe he could help the DOJ by showing them the dirty tricks that helped him accomplish his fraud...

In my state, I think that more people are denied Medicaid because the layers of red tape are so burdensome to low-income workers who don't have the education and skills to handle all that paperwork. The fraud often comes not from the policy holders but from doctors and facilities scamming the system.

CFR.

The rest of your post is a bunch of bunk considering the massive fraud that has been uncovered in the liberal states. Does that mean there is no fraud anywhere else? No, but your post sure suggests that everyone on the left side of the aisle has squeaky clean hands.

The rosy stats on immigrants given to you also didn’t distinguish between legal and illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrant crime is what drives support for Trump and illegals commit over twice the crime of legal immigrants. When legal & illegal immigration crime rates are combined, the rates are close to those of US born citizens. I am just putting simple observations together from a report that is on the favorable side to immigration.
