It's why Trump temp nominated Bill (I have zero security experience let lone a security clearance) Pulte as DNI director.
Trump wants him to root around and find something just as feckless as the grand jury failures brought by him when at FHFA.

Kind of odd. If someone can't help lying, can you say that it's intentional? If you eat something bad and throw up then you can't be blamed for that. So when Trump says something which is obviously a lie, is it a form of Tourettes?

I tend to read my posts before I hit 'Post reply' checking my grammar. And oops, silly me, I'd actually written 'So if Trump says something which is obviously a lie...'

They're using words interchangeably that don't mean the same thing (if "stolen" and "rigged" are the exact words Patel & Co are using)

"Stolen" and "Rigged" mean two different things.

"Stolen" implies that someone went in, in the middle of the night, and change/threw away/added votes illegally, "Rigged" would mean the rules were changed in advance in ways that they knew would favor the other side.

I've yet to see any evidence to support the former, and while I'm a little more sympathetic to concerns about the latter (due to the fact that it's laughable to suggest that ID-free, universal mail-in voting is more secure than in-person voting as many outlets tried to suggest), even on that one, there was ample polling ahead of time that showed that the odds weren't in Trump's favor.

My gut feeling is that while the universal id-free mail-in system helped Democrats pad their victory, they would have had the victory regardless even if there'd been an in-person voting requirement.
