Rosh Hashanah,
the Jewish New Year, is more accurately known as Yom Teruah (Day of the Trumpet). This holiday marks the beginning of the Days of Repentance, a time of repentance and gathering in the Land of Israel shortly before the return of the Messiah.
The seven-year tribulation symbolizes the Days of Repentance between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). There are seven days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Including the holidays, there are a total of ten days.
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. Rev 2:10
According to Jewish tradition, three books are opened on Rosh Hashanah (Yom Teruah):
One for the completely wicked, one for the completely righteous, and one for those in between. The completely righteous are immediately inscribed and sealed for life; the completely wicked are immediately inscribed and sealed for death; those in between are suspended and stand before the divine judgment from Rosh Hashanah until Yom Kippur.
The fate of the righteous and the wicked is sealed on Rosh Hashanah, while those in the middle have the time between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur (the seven-year tribulation) in which to repent.
Lord Jesus spoke of the urgency of this final call to repentance
Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. Rev 2:16

Man’s expulsion from Paradise was marked by the flaming sword of the cherubim and ends with the sword of His, Jesus’, mouth

The Sabbath has its roots in the account of creation, for in six days the Eternal One created heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He rested.
The Sabbath finds its continuation in the Sabbatical Year, also known as the Shmittah. After six years of cultivation, the land is left fallow for one year, analogous to the Sabbath as a day of rest.
However, a greater Sabbath is yet to come, when the 6,000 years since Creation will be followed by the 1,000-year Messianic Kingdom. The coming of the Messiah will usher in the Millennium, when
things will be restored to a state similar to the Garden of Eden.
The Greek word for Sabbath,
sabbaton, corresponds to the number
626
The Epistle to the Colossians is the last place where the word
Sabbath is mentioned
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Col 2:16
There are several puzzling verses, and this is one of them.
Did Paul mean that the commandments were no longer valid, or that believers should not be concerned about others criticizing them for keeping the commandments?
This dilemma brings to mind the hospitality Abraham showed to the three angels who appeared to him in the form of men. Although Abraham lived before the giving of the Torah, the Talmud asserts that Abraham kept the entire Torah
And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat. Gen 18:8
This is the
433rd verse in the Hebrew Bible
Abraham prepared a meal of butter, milk, and veal. That wasn’t kosher, because Jewish dietary laws clearly state:
A meal is kosher only if milk and meat are stored and eaten separately, never together.
Was Abraham not kosher, then?
How can we reconcile this?
As in all things, we should submit to G-d
