  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A region in the state of Israel known as the biblical location where Jesus walked on water has yielded a rare ancient gemstone thought to be more than 1,500 years old.

A 12-year-old sixth-grade student unearthed the find during a recent educational dig led by Israel Nature and Parks Authority along with Ariel University, according to Times of Israel.

Believed to date as far back as the first century AD, the deep blue agate gemstone was likely worn as jewelry by a wealthy individual, according to the report.

Adam Horowitz, the boy who made the discovery, told the Times of Israel he spotted the gemstone while digging with a pickaxe after nearly three days of excavation at the site, telling the news outlet that he “suddenly saw something blue, round and special.”

Horowitz added, “I picked it up and showed it to the archaeologist. When I realized it was something rare, I felt really happy and proud.”
