  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Adam Sheafe, who admitted to the “heinous” murder of Arizona Pastor Bill Schonemann and who planned to kill 13 other church leaders in 10 states, will receive a life sentence without parole after a judge accepted Sheafe’s plea deal. The pastor’s son, Randy Schonemann, has said the family is “content” with the decision.

Adam Sheafe To Serve Natural Life Sentence for Murder of New River Pastor Bill Schonemann

In April 2025, 76-year-old Pastor Bill Schonemann was found murdered in his New River, Arizona, home, his body staged to resemble a crucifixion. Six weeks later, authorities arrested Adam Sheafe, who revealed that Schonemann was merely the first target in a planned multi-state killing spree aimed at executing 14 total church leaders.

Sheafe, who has “Yahweh” tattooed on his neck, claimed he targeted Schonemann because Sheafe believes Christian leaders are leading people astray by teaching that Jesus is equal to God. Prior to his arrest, Sheafe was moving forward with plans to murder two church leaders in Sedona, Arizona. He later expressed a desire to “execute every single priest and burn every church to the ground.”
