  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

She flat out lied about J6. I saw recordings of the Shaman being escorted around. Trump tells her to watch the tapes and she showed no interest.
You were expecting for her to stop her interview with the President of the United States to “watch the tapes”?

"Crooked" for her network and for her was an accurate description.
Things generally work better when everyone tells the truth. It’s expected in journalism and is nice when it’s in politics but the latter is not the “norm”.

Trump’s opinion still isn’t the basis for what is “true”.

Judge who said ███ Shaman 'blatantly lied' during '60 Minutes' interview released 2 new videos disproving shaman's claims

In a jailhouse interview with "60 Minutes" earlier this month, the self-described "QAnon Shaman," his lawyer, and his mother all repeated the claim that Chansley had only entered the Capitol because police officers had "waved" protesters in, signaling to Chansley that the move was "acceptable."

But in a March 8 motion remanding Chansley into custody, Judge Royce Lamberth skewered Chansley's story, saying the 33-year-old "blatantly lied" about his alleged invitation into the building. Lamberth referenced video footage obtained by the government that he said disproved Chansley's claims about Capitol Police officers.

[The motion is worth reading if you want to link the timeline together, but be forewarned the shaman has a potty mouth.]

I haven't listened to the interview, so I don't know what was said, but I did watch him get up in a pout

If you saw it on "Tucker", then you were lied to with deceptive editing that reorders events.

That is what I don't get.
They aren't just rejecting Democrats or the left or whatever. They're rejecting professional office culture and everything that looks like it. Ironically, what they're rejecting is more conservative than what they're seeking.

Trump gets angry. His base is largely fueled by (political & cultural) anger. Anger agrees with itself, and thrives.
Utter nonsense. Just the opposite is true by far. Count up the protests that are pro-Trump vs. anti-Trump or anti-Trump positions. How many events do Trump supporters attack people or police as compared with those against. Count the various protests and rallies, add the numbers up. New Jersey is the latest.

Sometimes it seems like pres Trump actually believes his own nonsense lies.
He apparently does. Trump behaved childishly in the interview. He got angrier and angrier that Kristen Welker pressed him about not having any evidence for his claims. She didn't believe or accept his lies. Rather than support his lies, he would just repeat the lies.

And they were silly lies. Example, Trump claimed FBI agents were escorting or waving members in. IF so, this damns Trump as it was his FBI. But they didn't. He went off about Comey as if Comey was the head of the FBI in 2020 - 2021. He wasn't. He had nothing to do with Jan. 6th and hadn't been in the FBI since Trump's first year - 5 months into Trump's first year.

Trump wants us to feel bad for the poor insurrectionists. NOPE. 97 of the pardoned criminals were arrested again for crimes since Trump's pardon. Examples from Google AI:

  • Andrew Paul Johnson: Freed from prison by the pardon, he was convicted in February 2026 on multiple charges, including child molestation and distribution of child sexual abuse material, and sentenced to life in prison. [1, 2]
  • Zachary Alam: Convicted of breaking and entering into a Virginia home and stealing property months after receiving a pardon for his role in the Capitol riot. [1, 2]
  • Ryan Nichols: Arrested and charged with deadly conduct and harassment in May 2026 after allegedly threatening a person with a gun in a church parking lot. [1]
  • Brent John Holdridge: Arrested for grand theft, burglary, and possession of stolen property in May after allegedly stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of industrial copper wire. [1]
  • Christopher Moynihan: Pleaded guilty to harassment charges following an October incident where he made a terroristic threat to murder House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. [1, 2]
And Trump wants to give them money????

Here is a site trying to track what crimes pardoned J6ers have committed after the pardon.

When’s the last time you went to a “protest” to lobby for a cause?
Most protests occur to prevent a great “bad” from happening, or to halt a “bad” that is currently happening.

As if the number of protests is a good metric for whether a group feels angry.

How many events do Trump supporters attack people or police as compared with those against.

Are we counting the times when they actually attack people or just the times where you guys admit that it happened?

Yeah at I'd guess he believes about 2/3 of his lies - which is an enormous reality disconnect. The rest he knows are lies and doesnt really care.

The full episode, for those who are interested:
I just started watching it and... I'm only a couple minutes in, but I'd bail out on her, too. This first question about whether or not to call it a "war" is stupid and the second one about sending troops home isn't much better. So far, it's got all the trappings of an overly earnest journalist who gets hung up on pedantry but is unable to get into anything substantive.

I would you categorize it when they go after Jews on campuses? And in my opinion when they protest at ICE facilities because priests won't be let in, etc. it's really about hatred toward Trump and ICE and the immigration policies.
