  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Day 18: The Purity the Modern World Destroyed, Mary Never Lost

In a world flooded with impurity and moral confusion, the Blessed Virgin Mary remains the Virgin Most Pure. Her purity was not merely external, but purity of heart, mind, intention, and love for God.

This Catholic Short teaches the true meaning of purity according to traditional Catholic doctrine, and why purity prepares the soul for union with God.

O Mary, guard me against impurity.

Day 19: Mary Owned Almost Nothing, Yet Possessed Everything

The Blessed Virgin Mary lived in poverty at Nazareth and Bethlehem, yet her soul possessed the riches of Heaven. This Short teaches the true meaning of Christian poverty, freedom from attachment to worldly comforts, honors, and possessions.

O Mary, free us from worldly attachments and teach us to seek God above all earthly things.

Day 20: Why God Allows Suffering — The Sorrow of Mary

Why does God allow suffering?

The Blessed Virgin Mary teaches us that suffering is not meaningless when united to Christ. From Simeon’s prophecy to Calvary, the Sorrowful Mother endured deep suffering because she loved deeply. Her sorrows became united to the Passion of Our Lord in God’s plan of redemption.

This short meditation reflects on the hidden suffering of Mary, the meaning of suffering in the Christian life, and how pain accepted with grace can sanctify the soul.

“O Mary, give me strength to carry my cross.”

Luke 2:35

Day 21: Why Mary Stayed at the Cross, When Almost Everyone Else Fled

At Calvary, many fled from Christ. But the Blessed Virgin Mary remained beneath the Cross in perfect fidelity, sorrow, and love.

This short meditation reflects on the mystery of Mary at Calvary, her union with the Passion of Christ, and the lesson every Catholic must learn about perseverance in suffering.

True love remains faithful beneath the Cross.

“O Mary, keep me faithful in suffering.”

John 19:25–27

Day 22: Jesus Gave You a Mother From the Cross

At Calvary, Christ did not leave His followers orphaned.

In His final moments upon the Cross, Jesus entrusted the Blessed Virgin Mary to His Church with the words: “Behold thy Mother.”

Mary’s motherhood is not symbolic only. It is spiritual, real, and ordered toward the salvation of souls. She intercedes for sinners, strengthens the weak, and leads souls more deeply to Jesus Christ.

O Mary, be our Mother always.

Day 23: Why Catholics Ask Mary to Pray for Them, The Truth Most Misunderstood

Why do Catholics ask Mary to pray for them?

Many misunderstand Marian intercession. Catholics do not worship Mary. Christ alone is Redeemer, Savior, and Lord. Yet God wills that the Blessed Virgin intercede for souls with maternal charity before her Divine Son.

At Cana, Mary saw the need before others spoke. Her intercession led souls toward Christ, obedience, and grace.

“O Mary, obtain for me needed graces.”

John 2:1–11

Day 24: Why the Devil Fears the Virgin Mary

The Church calls the Blessed Virgin Mary “Help of Christians” because Heaven itself has given her to defend souls in spiritual battle.

The saints taught that Hell trembles before her purity, humility, and maternal intercession. In temptation, suffering, confusion, and fear, Catholics flee beneath her mantle for protection.

“Holy Mary, pray for us.”

Day 25: No Sinner Is Beyond Mercy, Mary Refuge of Sinners

No sinner should despair while the Mother of Mercy still calls souls back to repentance and grace.

In this Day 25 Month of Mary devotion, learn why Holy Church calls the Blessed Virgin Mary the Refuge of Sinners, and how true mercy leads souls back to Jesus Christ through repentance, confession, and conversion.

O Mary, help us return to God before our hearts grow cold through sin.

Day 26: Mary, Queen of Heaven — Why the World Cannot Satisfy Your Soul

The world promises glory, wealth, honor, and pleasure, yet the soul remains restless without God. In this Day 26 Month of Mary Devotion, we contemplate the queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, exalted above all angels and saints because she is the Mother of Christ the King.

Mary reigns not apart from Christ, but entirely through Him. Her maternal queenship leads souls away from earthly vanity and toward eternal life.

“Seek therefore first the kingdom of God.” — Matthew 6:33

O Mary, Queen of Heaven, guide us safely to thy Son.

Day 27: Why Mary’s Glory Will Never Fade

The Blessed Virgin Mary was exalted above all creatures because of her humility, purity, obedience, and perfect union with God.

Earthly glory fades away, but holiness remains forever before the throne of God. In this Month of Mary devotion, reflect on the eternal glory prepared for souls who remain faithful to Christ through sacrifice and grace.

“O Mary, draw me toward eternal things.”

Hail Mary, full of grace.
Hail Mary, Mother most pure.
Hail Mary, Queen of Heaven.

Day 28: Most Catholics Misunderstand Devotion to Mary

Many Catholics love Our Lady, yet true devotion to Mary is often misunderstood.

Real Marian devotion is not mere emotion, routine prayer, or outward practice. True devotion transforms the soul through humility, fidelity, prayer, perseverance, and deeper union with Jesus Christ.

The Blessed Virgin Mary never leads souls away from Christ. She leads them more perfectly toward Him.

This Short from Excerpta Catechismi reflects on authentic Marian spirituality, interior conversion, and the danger of superficial devotion.

“O Mary, make me faithful in devotion.”

“Per Mariam ad Christum.”
Through Mary to Christ.

Day 29: The One Grace Most Souls Forget to Ask For

Many souls begin the spiritual life with fervor, but not all persevere until the end.

The Blessed Virgin Mary remained faithful to God from the Annunciation to Calvary and beyond. Her life teaches us that holiness is not achieved by a good beginning alone, but by daily cooperation with God's grace until death.

In this reflection, we consider one of the most important gifts a Catholic can seek: the grace of final perseverance.

"He that shall persevere unto the end, he shall be saved." — Matthew 24:13

O Mary, obtain for us perseverance.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Interesting. So you never ask a friend to pray for you? That's kinda sad. Also, I believe what you are doing is against forum rules? But I will pray for you!

Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Day 30: If Tonight Were Your Last Night, Would You Be Ready?

Death is certain, but its hour remains unknown.

Many people spend their lives preparing for tomorrow while neglecting eternity. Yet every soul will one day stand before God in judgment. The Church teaches us not to fear death, but to prepare for it through repentance, prayer, confession, and perseverance in grace.

In this final day of our Month of Mary Devotion, we reflect upon the traditional Catholic understanding of a holy death and the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who assists her faithful children at the hour of death.

May Our Lady obtain for us the grace of final perseverance, that we may die in the friendship of God and enter eternity prepared.

"O Mary, be with me at my last moment."

Ave Maria.
