True apostles (truly sent by Christ) work with their own hands to support their own earthly necessities rather than preach for them (rather than making a living off the people they preach to as false apostles do). The true apostles speak the true words of Christ while the false apostles do not.
“I know your works…and your LABOR…”
Labor = Greek- kopos = from G2875; a cut, that is, (by analogy) toil (as reducing the strength), literally or figuratively; by implication pains: - labour, + trouble, weariness.
Rev 2:2 KJV
(2) I know thy works, and thy labour (kopos), and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
The “super apostles” preach for pay rather than preach the gospel of God freely as Paul showed us. They speak eloquently but lack true knowledge.
“We”….the true apostles…have been thoroughly made manifest among us in all things.
2Co 11:5-7 KJV
(5) For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.
(6) But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.
(7) Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?
Paul showed us all things through laboring with his own hands to support his own necessities. This manifests a true apostle.
Act 20:33-35 KJV
(33) I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
(34) Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.
(35) I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
True apostles will do what they do: preach the gospel FREELY.
“But I will keep on doing what I am doing (preaching the gospel FREELY without charge), in order to undercut those who want an opportunity to be regarded as our equals in the things of which they boast.”
False apostles…the super apostles… want to be seen as true apostles (they glory that they may be found as we). The false apostles though fail the test as they preach for pay and not freely….and so manifest themselves as false.

(12) But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.
The false apostles want to be seen as being sent by Christ…but they are deceitful WORKERS.
(13) For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
(14) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
(15) Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
The true apostles work…LABOR… for their own earthly necessities….for their own bread…rather than eat of another’s labors.
The Greek word for “labor” (wrought with LABOR) is the same word (kopos) found in Revelation 2:2 .
False apostles eat another's bread for nothing as they do not work with their own hands to support their own necessities....eating their own bread.
2Th 3:7-12
(7) For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
(8) Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour (KOPOS) and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
(9) Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves THE ensample unto you to follow us.
False apostles will not obey the commandment of the true apostles to work with their own hands to eat their own bread. Their commandment is a binding commandment that cannot be changed. They did bind this earthly thing upon us who have our citizenship in heaven.
(10) For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
(11) For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
(12) Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
The true apostle will obey the commandment while the false apostle will continue walking after his own lusts (being covetous after another’s gold, silver, apparel)…disobeying the commandment of the true, original apostles.
Be mindful of the COMMANDMENT of us the APOSTLES of the Lord and Savior. This commandment is to work with your own hands to support your own earthly necessities.
The false apostles will not be mindful of it but will scoff at it and continue to walk after their own lusts.

(2) That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
(3) Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
(4) And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
“The commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior” is to work with your OWN hands.
