  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Another look at the moon landing.

How quiet the Conspiracy Theories forum is without Apple Sky! Does anybody know what has happened to her? (Of course God knows, and we can and should pray for her.)
Just to let others who are concerned know - I had a PM from Apple Sky yesterday to say that she has been very ill for eight weeks, but is beginning to improve. She says she intends to come back to the Forums gently. I said I would let others know.

Thank you, David.
It's sad that she's been so ill.

@Apple Sky if you see this, take it easy and be gentle with yourself.

So the 'Blue Origin' rocket exploded, do you think God's trying to tell us something ?
Hey, it's a miracle whenever one of those hideously complicated things works right.

It's a miracle all round that's if they ever went too the moon, which I doubt.

Doubt it.

He was trying to tell you something when you were challenged to watch Charles Duke's testimony.
You did watch it, believed it and prayed for him and all the astronauts.

They've been there a few times, so there were many miracles.

If you think that going to the moon, or not, has anything at all to do with Jesus, the Gospel and God's saving love - you need to read the Bible.

I don't need the author of some silly, made-up poster to "save" me - Jesus has already done that.

2032 is the next time they can try to build a base on the moon, I wont hold my breath, that's if they've been too the moon at all.
You yourself once said that you believed Charles Duke and the moon landings.
You even asked God to help you in this new belief, said that it would be hard but that you knew that, with his help, you would be ok.

Only months later you decided that you no longer needed God's help with your new belief (i.e that Charles walked on the moon), because you should never have believed it in the first place.
Someone admitting they were wrong and asking for God's help shows courage and humility.
Telling God you are sorry you asked for his help and don't need it any more requires even more courage - some would say it is utterly foolhardy.

I'm sorry, I've made my comments on Duke & stand by them.

Why should any of those pictures make me doubt the moon landings? Take the picture of a telephone, with the label "Phone Call to the Moon." Do you really think that to believe the moon landings took place, we have to believe that the President's telephone was physically connected by phone wires to the astronauts on the moon? That's like thinking that if I ring a phone-in programme on my local BBC radio station, and my call is broadcast, that everybody listening to Radio Devon had to be physically connected by wires to my phone. Of course not! My call went through to the BBC studios in Plymouth, and the BBC broadcast it (by radio waves, not phone lines) so that people could hear me. Likewise with the president talking to the astronauts. His call went by phone line to Houston, and then by radio from Houston to the moon.

Sorry David but this is a bit far fetched for me.
