After Donald Trump announced he would not attend his eldest son’s wedding this weekend, his schedule, which stated he would be at his Bedminster golf course, quickly changed.

President Donald Trump has returned his eldest son’s wedding RSVP with only a day’s notice, announcing to Truth Social that he will not attend.

Trump, 79, officially snubbed Donald Trump Jr. in a Friday afternoon post—then quickly changed his weekend schedule to show he was no longer planning on golfing in New Jersey as his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., says “I do.”

“While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so,” Trump claimed. “I feel it is important for me to remain in Washington, D.C., at the White House during this important period of time. Congratulations to Don and Bettina!”

...He continued, “That’s one I can’t win on. If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed—by the fake news, of course, I’m talking about. But he’s uh, [with] a person I’ve known for a long time and hopefully they’re gonna have a great marriage.”

S'funny. He's managed 5 golf games in the last 24 days. Did Trump Golf Today?

It's a six hour flight from Washington to the Bahamas. I'm sure there's business class on Air Force 1 so he could go overnight, have a few hours at the festivities and then overnight back home. Luckily his wife can go.

Oh, hang on...is she going? Neither of them attended the bridal shower. That was probably too hard to get to as well. Some place called Mar y Lago I think.

Presidency notwithstanding, he's probably missed a lot of important events in their life due to his work and it goes with the territory. It's the catch-22 of that world and you can't have it both ways. It wouldn't bother me and it's probably a nothing burger for Don Jr.

They could've held the wedding in the White House or at Mar-a-Lago if it were important that Junior's parent and step-parent attend. I wonder if it was work or not-war that kept Senior away - did he even skype in his congrats? - but more likely health issues. Senior was whisked away to Walter Reed yet again over the weekend, for reasons undisclosed.
