CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If it's obedience to God Himself or obedience to those people God commands us to obey (those in authority over us, parents, etc.) then I would say Theology. If you're thinking of obedience as a general concept, possibly one of the "Ethics and Morality" forums.

Definitely. Think of what the apostles said to the Jewish leaders who commanded them no longer to preach about Jesus Christ:
(Act 5:29) But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: "We ought to obey God rather than men.
Then we have verses like these, addressed to Christians:
(Rom 6:16) Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?
(Rom 6:17) But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.
(1Jn 5:2) By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.
(1Jn 5:3) For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.
(Eph 6:6) not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,
I wonder if you could tell me why you ask the question. Do you think there is any doubt about whether Christians should obey God?

I have no doubt at all, The question was asked to enlighten those who think Christisns can remain disobedient.

Thanks for explaining. I am not sure how anybody would have realised your reason for asking the question from the post where you just asked, "Should Christians Obey God?" Thanks anyway for explaining that you were not just asking for "yes" or "no" answers.

Some people seem to think making a profession of faith and lacking a desire to obey is fine for life; they don't care about God's word.
