How Hunter Biden Ended Up in Candace Owens’ Home Studio — Next to Her Brigitte Macron Doll

A dinner, a podcaster and a phone call later, the most unlikely interview of the year was on.

Well, I can honestly say I didn't have this one on my "weird things happening in 2026" Bingo card...

I actually listened to the interview...

It was surprisingly cordial, they spent about half of the time deep diving into the topic of addiction.

...but then it takes a somewhat unique turn. As it turns out, Hunter maybe be dipping his toes into the conspiracy world. He seemingly was sympathetic to some of her conspiracy theories about Charlie Kirk's murder and defended parts of her theory, and then used that to float an Israel-based conspiracy of his own pertaining to why he thinks his dad was pressured to drop out of the race.

Hunter stated that it wasn't his age or his debate performance that led to the enormous pressure for him to drop out, and then stated "they crushed my dad" because "he was never part of that elite Epstein class", followed up with saying it's because his dad "wouldn't green light turning Gaza into a golf course", and the went on to say “Something’s changed, Candace, The level of disloyalty, or fear — I don’t know what it is ... and the criticism of you for asking the questions - I listen to you and I go, ‘right on!’". And then jokingly asked if he could get one of the Brigitte Macron dolls.

This could be the strangest odd couple reboot ever.

Hunter's been doing the rounds on the Pod/Vod circuit for the last ~2 years. He's popped up in some very odd and counter-intuitive locations.

Last year he did an interview on 'At Our Table', which is run by former DNC Chair Jaime Harrison. Then he did 'Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan' and then Shawn Ryan Show - one a politics-adjacent podcast with a comedy bent and the other a strongly right-wing leaning military affairs show. He's also done an interview on the South African 'Wide Awake Podcast', which I don't know anything about.

I think there are a few others as well.

What I find odd about it...

During the actual lead-up to the 2024 election, the people in his dad's party were hellbent on defending him, or dismissing/downplaying critiques or scandals as "Russian propaganda", "not real", etc..

But nobody had him on their shows to actually let him talk for himself and tell his own story directly.

Now, it seems to be some of the fringe right-wing shows that are inviting him on and letting him talk uncensored/unfiltered.

Perhaps his sympathetic tone toward towards some conspiracy theories that are, for lack of a better term, "right-wing adjacent" were known by those "in the know", and that was a showstopper?

I think we'd all have to admit, him entertaining Israel-related theories and things like "they're pressuring him to step down because he's not in the Epstein elites club and won't sign off on trying to turn Gaza into a resort" would've absolutely been a poison pill for the Democrats in 2024.

It'll be interesting to see if the "the laptop scandal was just Russian misinformation" peeps on here will turn on him given some of the new acquaintances he's made. Likewise, it'll be interesting to see how many of the "he's the personification of corruption incarnate" conservatives will start taking a softer tone towards him.

We've seen more drastic pivots in the past 6-12 months.

Political horseshoes are a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, I find them fascinating.

That was likely his own doing. His first trial was in June 2024 and he plead guilty on the second case in September. He had sentencing scheduled in Dec 2024 that was canceled when he got pardoned. His father was no longer a candidate before the second case was settled.

What a coincidence. Here I was reading about the looming energy crisis, the lack of fertilisers, the progonistication of a record breaking El Nino increasing drought and heatwaves, and I was thinking "What about Hunter?"

The way they made it sound, they have a mutual friend who helped facilitate getting the interview together.

While I would agree that Candace has gone off the deep end, (the Brigitte Macron stuff was obviously way out in bizarro land)

...I think Tucker has actually shifted to the left on a few things since leaving Fox. Obviously he still has his conspiracy stuff (but he had that even when he was on Fox)

Too bad his dad pardoned him as he’s probably not eligible for Trump’s Slush-money fund, because of it.
