  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is rot and waste a sin?

We live in a society where waste has become normalized. We buy food we never eat. We store things which rust instead of giving them away to be used.

The Bible seems to suggest that we will be condemned by God for this sort of behaviour. And that all of the things we've stored and let rot away will be a testimony against us in the coming Judgment. But what does that look like in real time?

I urge people to watch this video, and pray seriously about what it could mean for them and the way they live:

PRAISE THE LORD

Thank you for sharing this I truly learned something and the video was edifying. We do waste a lot, especially when it comes to food and we act like we can't get a homeless man a sandwich. The bible says no one can give God a ransom. We need to be rich toward God, because all them commas not going to mean anything one day.

Proverbs 13: 7
7 There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.
