  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A self-styled "prophet" who told one of his followers that sex with him would protect her from mental illness and instructed another to get an abortion after getting her pregnant is facing two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and three counts of forced labor and conspiracy to commit forced labor.

Treva Edwards, 61, founded “Jesus is Lord by the Holy Ghost” church in Orange, along with his wife, Christine Edwards, 64.

According to a release from the United States Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey, Christine Edwards was also charged with conspiracy to commit forced labor in a superseding indictment.

If found guilty, Treva Edwards will be sentenced to a minimum penalty of 15 years in prison and a maximum penalty of life in prison for sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. How sad, all the wolves in sheep's clothing so widely distributed within the Body of Christ.

You know, I’m posting news like I always do and it’s not a Protestant vs Catholic thing. It’s a Christian problem across the board. It’s obvious what you are doing and it’s uncalled for. This forum is for current Christian news. Not a Protestant vs Catholic thing. You are making yourself look bad.
