As with many company's right now, lay offs are occurring at my place of employment. I simply as that you join me in prayer, for at the very least not to be the first one to be released.
Heavenly Father,
You see the unrest in my workplace—the whispers of layoffs, the trembling hands clutching desks, the unspoken fear that lingers like fog. I come before You not with demands, but with trembling trust.
If cuts must come, spare me, Lord. Not because I am more deserving, but because my family’s bread depends on these hands. Shield me not with pride, but with Providence. Let favor rest upon my work, my diligence, my name in the mouths of decision-makers.
But if the axe must fall my way, steady me. Let me land softly, with dignity intact. Open doors where walls now stand.
Above all, teach me to labor as for You, not men—so that whether I stay or go, my worth is anchored deeper than a paycheck.
*Amen.*
Thank you
