The transition of a child is abuse, even if the parents approve. The child should have to wait until he/she is 18.

Being immigrants, the family probably didn't understand the threat. Now their daughter is probably lost.

The story said they already took the child away from them because their minor child who does not have the right to vote but can legally alter their gender without parental permission and the State was going after their other child. I would do the same as what the parents did, protect their other child, then hire the best legal council to sue the State of CA.

There are a lot of mentally instable teachers pushing this agenda on children. This is a newer social issue and more so in CA.

There's other accounts not just this woman's. Bellow is another account of DCS taking a Catholic couples kid and never returning them just because they refused to use their pronouns and the court labeled it "abuse". While this was Indiana, theres issues all over the country and the link below gives more insight into California's laws and other states.

Leave minors out of gender ideology. Period. Let children be children. Adults can make their own decisions when they are mature enough. I think that compromise is fair to all sides involved.

Parents are doing what is best for their children.

I tried. All I can find are stories on Lifesite, etc, from the mother, and legal documents behind paywalls. The only open document I could find has the mother objecting that authorities talked to her daughter at school and conducted an exam checking for sexual abuse without her (the mother’s) consent.
