CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

As the President and Commander-in-Chief with the most powerful military in the world at his disposal, the world can only assume that these are not idle threats - "a whole civilization will die tonight!" has been universally interpreted as the textbook definition of :"genocide!"
President Trump's counterpart, Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu is already the recipient of an arrest warrant for war crimes, issued in 2024 by the International Criminal Court -
1) starvation as a method of warfare
2) crimes against humanity
3) targeting civilians
The Palestinian death toll in Gaza is thought to exceed 75.000, approximately 60% of which are noncombatants - women, children and the elderly!

You know nothing. The Iranians murder their own people who can't defend themselves. The leaders, if they have any besides the IRGC, murdered protesters. America doesn't desire to kill the protestors. Iran won't negotiate.

No, but His majesty and glory are way beyond our earthly politics. It saddens me when I see His Name being attached to political parties, which are flawed because they are of this world.
I think it's fine for Christians to vote and also that some Christians are called to serve Him in politics, just as others are called to serve in medicine, business, etc. But we need to be careful to look to God, and not to a person, for solutions and remember that the Lord's kingdom is not of this world.

This does not prevent God from doing His will on earth. He saves lives when we are fearful that our loved one will die. He inspires firefighters, parents, doctors, soldiers, and teachers. Certain humans think soldiers and police are evil; they aren't.
