Peace in Christ.
All man's handwritings...his church constitutions, statements of faith, etc, etc, etc.....are an abomination that should not be found in our churches....no matter what the white-washing language of them might be. Fleshly-minded men had wrote them and placed them in the "high places" of the man-based churches. They were not led by the Spirit to do so but were written (patterned like the nations around them) from their own imaginations.
Church “constitutions” for an example are an image made in the likeness of the nations around us. The man-based churches are friends of the world (the orderly arrangement) in this manner as they copy them and place their constitutions....their handwritten, orderly-arrangements (Article 1, Article 2, Article 3, etc) ...in their churches.
They are not to be found in our worship gatherings.
But yet, we find these abominations in many man-based churches. They are at the core of them. They are established in them. They move not from them. They govern the churches with them. They are the works of man's hands. They are dead works that have no life in them.
They are not living like the LORD (Jehovah = "I AM") our God....Elohim = Judge. The LORD (Jehovah) our God = The "I AM" (LIVING) Judge. We are to submit to His authority and not man's who has his "authoritative documents" that he keeps and serves. Man's documents are not living. They can do nothing on their own. But our God is Living and active.
Man-based churches want you to submit to their authority...to the authority of men. Many man-based churches have this kind of language in the preambles of their constitutions in which their members “voluntarily and solemnly submit” themselves to their church handwritings:
“we ordain and establish this church constitution, to which we voluntarily and solemnly submit ourselves.”
“we establish the following articles to which we voluntarily and solemnly submit ourselves.”
“this assembly most solemnly and joyfully enters into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ.”
“we as members of this church have solemnly committed ourselves to follow this constitution in ordering”
If we are dead with Christ from the “rudiments”….the foundational principles as written in man’s governing documents, why as though living in the world, are we subjecting ourselves to ordinances…church governing documents?
Col 2:20-23 KJV
(20) Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
(21) (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
These things are designated for destruction….and we perish with the using of them.
(22) Which all are to perish with the using) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
The church governing document then becomes a “baal” when we "solemnly and voluntarily submit ourselves to it’s dominion over us. “Baal” signifies one who has dominion, ownership, or mastery over something.
(23) Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
