Hello,
I am a foreign Catholic man, exclusive from the United States.
I wish to seek for counsel among the wise.
More recently, I have begun to work in the prophetic realm together, also with the charismatic gift of speaking in tongues.
These mysteries have unfolded in conjunction with and in parallell with my earthly life.
I believe I am prophetic. Yet at the same time, I lack re-assurance of my salvation in the Kingdom of Heaven.
In prayer, I have heard from the LORD that I would be in Hell.
Yet my spirit remains hopeful despite the trials I have faced.
What is actually going on here? Is this another trial?
How can anyone have hope when there is reassurance of damnation?
At the same time I feel like a coward because the LORD Jesus told us to be absolutely fearless.
Please give advice.
How do you know it was Jesus who spoke to you? Did he look like pictures you've seen, or like the man in the shroud of turin, or like some icon of Jesus, or perhaps like the statuette on a crucifix? Anyone can say "Jesus said..."
But from what you said here, I have to conclude you are a false prophet, just by the sheer logic of what you said. You think you're a true prophet of God, and yet Jesus told you you're going to hell. That sounds like you're condemned, and thus your prophecies are not of God. The Bible says "there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus," so if you're condemned, you're not in Christ.
Secondly, your lack of faith puts doubt on your prophetic gift (if that's what it really is). Rom. 12 gives an example of someone with a real gift of prophecy, saying "according to his faith." But since your faith is lacking, how then can you be speaking prophecies according to your faith? Is your prophecy that you're going to hell then a true prophecy? Quite honestly, if you stood in front of me prophesying about my future, then based on what you're saying here I wouldn't believe anything you said.
The apostle Paul wrote that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, so why wouldn't he appear to you as Jesus himself to convince you to disobey the gospel of (the real) Jesus by disbelieving it? Paul wrote in 2 Thes. 1:7-8 "
...the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus." Obeying the gospel means believing its message. If you believe you are going to hell because you were told, then you are not believing the gospel. The gospel of Christ says that if we believe in Jesus we have eternal life, according to John 5:24 and many other scriptures of the NT.
You are in desperate need of Biblical knowledge, to know who the only true God is and Jesus whom He sent. Paul wrote, "
let the word of Christ richly dwell within you," and it says in Heb. 4:12 "
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." If you're not obeying the words of Jesus and His apostles (because you don't believe in Him), then "going to hell" is a distinct possibility.
I was once in your shoes to some extent, and according to certain statements in the NT and my own experience, getting to know God through His word is the way to assurance of salvation. My advice is to stop that "prophetic" nonsense and get familiar with scripture. There are no shortcuts in the Christian way of life, and those who seek them often fall into a pit.
