  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

That would require an amount of tremendous amount of humility.

So I kinda doubt it will ever happen.
In 2016 I was supporting Trump to become the president, and when he did, I laughed at the democrats crying like US just elected the second hitler. I was not a Christian back then, but that's not an excuse.

In 2024 I was not happy that Trump won, but I was happy the democrats lost. Thought lesser evil one.

Since then, I regret supporting Trump, and see why the left was so outraged, and see Trump for what he really is.

So people can change their minds in time. What Trump posted should show Christians who he really is.

I think it's radical extremism to be offended by Trump's AI picture.

What would Jesus say to that picture? Would he make a big deal out of it? I think not... So why would I.
Jesus is doing a double face palm over what some of His followers do to embarrass Him.
Jesus will enjoy the day he gets to through an Antichrist into the Lake of Fire.

In his first term did he say or repost that he is the second coming and another that he is king of Israel.?

Either he likes the controversy or he caters to that belief.

Could he be paving the way for the Beast and his true Antichrist, the prophecies all seem to be occurring which leads to the Beast and his Antichrist with the exception of as it was in the days of Noah. .

The most important prophecies that were not in force a few decades ago and are now: knowledge has increased drastically in the past 100 years..... The ability to initiate the mark of the beast...... The days of Lot..... The world leaning and seeking a way for a One world currency and one world government..... The cell phone and computer, where the whole world can see Christ's returning from the clouds...... The land of Israel has become a nation again
Trump is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. When he got re-elected, he knew he was free to release the Kracken pots.

Except for the change in the "heavenly" figures above his head from what had more clearly been soldiers to....something else not soldiers.
We‘ll hope it is a warrior angel, though my first reaction would be something else.

What should be troubling to Christians are politicians who support the wonton shedding of innocent blood by way of innumerable abortion clinics. That severely outweighs most of what liberalism is outraged over. Any Christians who supports wholesale baby killing taking place, is in no position to preach about morality. What would Harras' stance have been?
On Judgement Day systematic clinical baby killing is going to be a lot higher on the list than cartoon images and tweets.

(Just to be clear even though what I said was in reply to your post, I am in no way including you in the pro-abortion camp).

God does not get embarrassed, first of all, and I cannot imagine Jesus "enjoying" throwing people into the lake of fire. I find these comments, in the way they depict our actual God, as far more offensive, and sacrilegious than the silly picture that Trump posted on the internet.

AI wouldn't have made a change like that from the original.
It could have in my experience working with AI imaging. Nobody has any idea for sure of what it is. Appeantly noody has reverse imaged it to any image previously in existence. AI can't seem to deciper it. Whatever it's supposed to be, demon or not, it looks malformed.

Finding it offensive is one thing, overreacting to it is another. Condemning others for not being caught up in the fever, is going off the deep end.
I dont find it offensive. But I appreciate that others do, and would never do a similar thing myuself.

The real problem tho is what it confirms about the mans character, features we should beware of in any leader - especially one with the (now unilateral) power to start war.

Idk why you’re apparently mad at “liberalism” but I would have thought it was Christians who were upset with the president depicting himself as Jesus Christ healing the sick while fighting publicly with the pope and praising Allah on Easter Sunday. Not sure what abortion has to do with any of this but the existence of bad democrats don’t somehow make your very bad Republican president any better if you think this is some kind of competition.

What would an appropriate reaction be? I wouldn’t know as I’m not in the least offended by it but I’m curious who you think is overreacting and how.

What I find interesting is that there are some Christians who can figure out the exact time of the Second Comming from reading one passage from the Bible and yet cannot see the obvious when it is posted and said time and time. He is telling you exactly who he is and people eat it up. Just like Revelations said.
Things never play out like in the movies, do they?

I do not take it that seriously.
"Listen, young man. What you did was simply outrageous. You think you were being smart but you've offended so many people.

And yes, I know that you've now deleted it but we both know it wasn't because of some sudden realisation that it was offensive. You deleted it because you knew that you were going to get into trouble.

And have you made an apology? No, you haven't. Which shows how little you understand about the distress that you have caused. I can't excuse this.

Your mother and I are so dissapointed with you. You're 12 years old. Certainly old enough to know better. So you are grounded. Big time. Go to your room right now and spend some time there thinking about what you have done".

Most parents would recognise that type of conversation. We've all had it to some degree as the kids are growing up. But I didn't expect that the immature actions that would prompt such a dressing down would not be by a young boy of 12, but the President of the US.

Would you give the nuclear codes to a pre teen? Nah, it's a stupid question. But you actually voted somebody into that position who has the maturity of a twelve year old.

I learned about it a long time ago reading a book about a famous detective named Jay J. Armes who only slept 4 hours a day. He ran a successful detective agency for decades and lived to be 92.

Are there successful people who are known to have only slept about 4 hours a day?

The Historical "Short Sleepers"

  • Thomas Edison: Edison famously called sleep a "heritage from our cave days" and a waste of time. He claimed to sleep only 3 to 4 hours a night. However, he was also a legendary "closet napper" who kept cots all over his property and was frequently photographed snoozing in gardens or labs.

  • Napoleon Bonaparte: Known for a grueling military schedule, Napoleon reportedly slept about 4 hours a night. He famously said, "Six for a man, seven for a woman, eight for a fool."

  • Margaret Thatcher: The "Iron Lady" was legendary for functioning on just 4 hours of sleep during her time as UK Prime Minister, often working until 2 or 3 a.m. and waking up at 6 a.m.
  • Nikola Tesla: Tesla claimed to never sleep for more than 2 hours in a 24-hour period, though he followed a polyphasic cycle (multiple short naps) that likely allowed his brain to recover in bursts.

Modern Success Stories

  • Indra Nooyi: The former CEO of PepsiCo has stated in multiple interviews that she slept only 4 to 5 hours a night for decades to manage the demands of her career.
  • Martha Stewart: Stewart has frequently mentioned that she sleeps about 4 hours a night, often getting up early to bake, garden, or check on her business ventures before the day officially starts.
  • Jack Dorsey: The co-founder of Twitter (X) and Block is known for a rigid routine that often involves only 4 to 6 hours of sleep, starting his day with 5 a.m. meditations and ice baths.

Trump is very supportive of the Red Cross. It's cute him being portrayed as a doctor helping to heal people. He has helped many.
There is no Red Cross depicted in the picture. There is a nurse, but she is dressed in blue, not the Red Cross uniform. We all know that is not how doctors dress and not how doctors heal.
