  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No it sure doesn't
Your thread titles is:

Left leaning "no kings" movement promotes murdering Federal Law Enforcement Officers, then misrepresented the facts. Clearly YOU tried to attribute this to the "liberal/left" No Kings movement.

Are you intentionally dishonest or just so partisan brained you can't help yourself?

We're waiting for your first fact.
The facts have been shown repeatedly, yet you appear to still not believe.

In the end this is just another cryfest for those who’s candidate didn’t win.

I remember when those sore loosers attacked the capital and tried to overthrow the election result. Then they waited until their party won again and they all got presidential pardons from an economy destroying warmongering liberal.

You don't understand politics at all. The way it works is everything negative or defamatory said about the other party is always true, and everything negative about your own is always a lie by the media.

When your party loses it's because the other party cheated and its voters are all stupid/racists/communists/fascists/ Nickleback fans.

If the other party does something shady its treasonous, should be investigated and the offenders imprisoned/executed. When your own party does the same thing then the other party's voters are overreacting, misrepresenting the facts or the tried and tested "They did it first!"

Elections must be fair and transparent unless your guy wins, then its okay for them to put thier thumb on the scale.

The governemnts job is to control other people, but its overreach if they try to control you in any way.

If the economy is good under the other party, even if its years into their term, then its solely because of the policies of the previous guys from your party. If the economy is bad under your own guys, even after years in office, its the fault of the previous administration.

All studies and polls that confirm my beliefs are valid, all those that contradict it are fake and biased.

The other party hates the country and collectively wants to turn it into a 3rd world failed state or a religious/ideological theocracy for some reason.

Glad to help you out my brother!

If that one random with a can of spray paint represents the entire No Kings protest movement then this guy represents the entire right wing maga movement.

Sounds like the Tea Party during Obama. They had some cryfests with a few tens of thousands and then the GOP gained 63 seats in the House in 2010.

Right - people who are left leaning are the ones who associate with the Left - that would be centrist - liberals - socialist Democrats - not just one element, but a very general group.
then misrepresented the facts.
Nope -sure didn't - I then substantiated the claim with multiple news sources
Clearly YOU tried to attribute this to the "liberal/left" No Kings movement.
Ah..... it happened during the "No Kings" event - by people who came to the "No Kings event" to protest - these were the violent ones - that is played out and proven by the multiple sources saying so. Unless promoting the killing of local ICE agents, and throwing pieces of concrete at law enforcement during the "No Kings Event" is somehow peaceful in your eyes.
Are you intentionally dishonest or just so partisan brained you can't help yourself?
Neither - I just make the honest statement based on facts and then support the facts with multiple news sources.

Perhaps I am not the one 'partisan brained' that I cannot see what is plainly stated.

No. The nearest No Kings event was blocks away, and ended around the time the police were ordering people to disperse at the federal detention center.

That's why I was giving some faint praise to FOX for noting the difference between

No Kings rally in Los Angeles draws thousands (that's a fact)

before 74 arrested in later clashes (these are later clashes, a separate event, where the numbers were in the 1 or 2 hundreds range)

It's a fact that the No Kings protest in DTLA was at City Hall. It's a fact that the later clashes were at the federal detention center.

It's a fact that the No Kings protest at City Hall was scheduled to end at 5:30pm.

It's a fact that the police order for dispersal at the federal detention center came no earlier than 5:30 pm.

AI Overview [Google search for timeline of events]

  • ~5:30 PM: A dispersal order is issued for the area around the federal building, with Instagram/ABC7la reporting this as the time for the order in some accounts, while others indicated it happened later.
  • 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: LAPD and Sheriff's deputies deploy horses and non-lethal methods (tear gas, stun grenades) to move crowds from the downtown area.
  • 7:25 PM: LAPD tweets that multiple arrests are being made.
were you there?
Not in downtown, but yes. And I have read/seen the coverage of it in the local newspapers/television.

No Kings protests reportedly funded by socialist, communist groups

“Fox News Digital identified socialist and communist organizations funded by Neville Roy Singham, an American businessman with Communist China ties, are sending members to the protests.

Some of his finances back the People’s Forum, a socialist-oriented political organization, and anti-war advocacy group CodePink, whose co-founder Jodie Evans is married to Mr. Singham.

An October fact check by Snopes determined that social media users falsely claimed that the No Kings protests were financially backed by billionaires with a $300 million price tag. Instead, Snopes said, this represents how much money charitable groups, such as the American Civil Liberties Union and Planned Parenthood, have given to organizations supporting No Kings.”

What I find interesting is that the ACLU and Planned Parenthood, two organizations that rely heavily on outside funding, are behind funding these rallies. That’s why you should always research charities before giving to them.
