Lord Jesus Christ,
You are the true King of peace and our sole source of freedom.
We come before You in Your mighty name, recognizing that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved and through which true tranquility can be established.
We acknowledge that while the world is currently troubled by conflict, division, and the brokenness of sin, Your Word promises a peace that surpasses all understanding—a peace not as the world gives, but one that flows directly from Your presence.
Lord Jesus, Prince of Peace, we implore You to stop the hand of violence, enlighten the consciences of all people, and grant us the courage to say "Never again war," so that Your glorious peace may reign in every heart and unify all nations.
We pray specifically for the leaders of nations and those in authority.
We ask that You grant them wisdom, discernment, and a sincere desire to pursue justice and righteousness rather than selfish ambition.
Turn their hearts, which are in Your hand like rivers of water, away from conflict and toward the protection of the dignity of every human life.
We ask for the protection of the most vulnerable, the comfort of those suffering under the "bombs of Kyiv" or the "shadow of the cross" in various war zones, and the provision for those displaced by violence.
Lord, we look forward to the day of Your return when You will judge between the nations and decide concerning many peoples, leading humanity to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.
Until that eternal kingdom is fully realized, empower us to be instruments of Your peace and witnesses of truth, justice, and brotherly love.
May the words "division" and "hatred" be banished from our hearts, replaced by the universal call of "Shalom, Peace, Salaam".
We trust in You, Jesus, and ask all these things in Your precious and powerful name.
