  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No, that is not an accurate representation of Scriptures concerning the powers of the air (Thoughts) that come into our mind. It isn't a Sin when a thought comes into our mind.
Jesus declared sinful thoughts as sin. It's not negotiable. Matt. 5:28

Jesus also said evil thoughts are evil, lawless and defining. Again not negotiable

People are easily led into the deceptions of excuses and letting themselves off the hook rather than confronting the reality that evil is in fact present within us. Romans 7:21

First, we need to discern them to know if they are from above or below. We have weapons and Armor from God to make said discernment, and then to use against such thoughts that are ungodly or sinful, so that we are not carried away by them.
The fact that you are engaging in battle or resistance means it's within to contend with
Accurate conclusion in bold
Which aligns perfectly with the Scriptures. The Kingdom of God dwells within me, the Temple of God is my mind, and the people of my Kingdom are thoughts. Godly thoughts are preserved, fed, nourished and allowed to prosper in my kingdom. Wicked thoughts are to be cast out, utterly destroyed, man, woman, cattle and every last part of the thought so that the wicked thought doesn't rule or influence any of the righteous thoughts in the Kingdom God gave me.

In this way I am led by Godly thoughts, which is the purpose of the Gospel of Christ in the first place, in my view.
If Godly thoughts were the only thoughts in play you'd have a point, but that's never the case

If a thought is sin then how was Jesus tempted yet without sin?

Tempted like us with a major major exception, that being without sin, Heb. 4:15

Zero people are or were ever sinless other than The Spotless Lamb of God

Point is no sin is technically forgiven. They are all unpardonable because all sin is of the devil and his messengers

Its forgivable because Jesus prayed that God forgive us.

Sins aren't counted against people to start with: 2 Cor. 5:19

Sins transpire in people but are of the devil regardless and the devil is never forgiven for any sins

IF readers only see people they'll never get a whole picture on these subjects

That doesn't mean they aren't counted.

And in any case forgiveness never equated to being sinless

Likely because of the thought Not coming
From His own Mind, such sinful thoughts
Were from the devil tempting Jesus.

We arent responsible for thoughts that are fleeting, Its pondering on sinful thoughts
Is when they are sin.

I completely agree.

What helped me to understand this issue, is God's teaching that the Kingdom of God dwells within each of us, and the Temple of God is in our mind. What would be the people in our Kingdom then, if not thoughts that come and go. Using the Word of God we can judge those thoughts as either good or evil. When the thought is good, according to God's definition of "good", we feed it, protect and preserve it so that it flourishes in our Kingdom and grows to the edification of all. When the thought is evil, according to God's definition of Evil, like the thought to lust after another woman in the heart, this thought is fought against using the weapons and Armor of God, hunted down and destroyed and ruled over. It is not allowed to wander freely in the Kingdom, nor bring it's wicked friends across the border to mingle with and influence the other thoughts in the kingdom. And it is a battle that is fought every day by the people of God, according to Paul.

After all, Christ did Inspire Paul to teach us,

Eph. 6: 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, "against spiritual wickedness in high places". This would be in our mind, Yes?

And I was killed by these very thoughts that were conceived and became sin, "Wherein in time past I walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power "of the air", the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

But because of the Grace of God and the Sacrifice and Love His Son had for me, I am given another chance to honor and respect God, and put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. And have placed my trust in Him, and the Armor He Created to protect me from the "spiritual wickedness in high places.".

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Of course, if I don't believe Him, I won't put on His Armor, I won't fight against the evil thoughts and will be "drawn away of my own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."

If we put on God's Armor and fight against the power of the air, the thought will flee, as it is also written.

Jam. 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.

"Thoughts" are a very important issue for the believer, in my view and I wanted to share what study has shown to me, given you understand that the truth that the thought isn't a Sin, unless a person is carried away with it.

10Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
