It's an observation. He lies even when it would have benefited him to tell the truth. Totally stupid lies. Like saying his uncle taught the Unibomber. Like saying he ended wars when even the participants say that he did not. He lies constantly. He can't help himself. Is that a clinical diagnosis?
Close. There is a clinical symptom called pathological lying. But even that isn't a standalone diagnosis. So far as I know, it's not in the DSM. Don't have a copy, but maybe it's online (Barbarian checks) Apparently not. But here:I'll grant you it sounds very medicalized.
I think Mussolini would be a better fit, myself. But then I suspect that diagnosis is from some of the same people that are calling him 'Hitler'.
It's hard to say how much of it is a mental health problem (if any) and how much of it is just progressive cognitive decline. His people are not releasing his medical records, so we don't really know.I'd say there is derangement going on but that isn't allowed in CF.
From his behavior, it seems that Obama and Biden are currently sharing his head. He seems devastated that he lost the election to Biden, and for some reason, he's obsessed with Obama. As Howard Stern predicted, being president has been very bad for his mental health.I think I can say that Trump lives rent free in too many heads.
Bottom line, most people in a "he said/she said" situation, would believe whoever was disagreeing with Trump. By August of last year, about 36% of Americans considered Trump to be honest.
Trump’s job approval and views of his personal traits
President Trump’s current job approval rating stands at 38% as of August – a modest decline from two months ago, when 41% approved.
