CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yeah. Allegations and "gossip". That's what is in the Epstein documents. Not, for instance, sex trafficking, sexual assault, ephebophilia, financial crimes, influence peddling, pay-for-play politicking and other examples of corruption.

I'm all for free speech.
What I'm opposed to is private platforms being force to carry speech they don't want to carry.
If Facebook doesn't want flat earthers, vegans, YECs, anti-vaxxers or Little-Endians on their hellsite, I think they should be able to bar them (because that's also free speech).
I'm also opposed to people seeking to avoid social consequences for their speech.
So, if you do spout something particularly foolish - racist, sexist, supportive of the Star Wars sequels or modern Country music - then people should be able to make an appropriate response

Clearly you don't know what you're talking about considering you think the epstein files contain incriminating facts on sex trafficking, sexual assault, etc., on whatever names are included in those "files".

Not having read the millions of documents. I don't have the time or energy, I am guessing there is some of both in there. Lots of stuff that leads to gossip, innuendo and allegations with no evidence the people actually did anything wrong. I am also guessing there is stuff there that provides information that should lead to investigations into wrong doing. The fact that someone is mentioned means nothing. The fact that someone is communicating something with Epstein about sex or information should be looked into.
