Israeli army chief expects US attack on Iran ‘within 2 weeks'

Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir predicted that the US will launch a military attack against Iran within two weeks to two months, local media reported on Sunday.

“This is a period of uncertainty,” Army Radio quoted Zamir as saying during a situation assessment meeting.

Zamir said he believes that a US strike against Tehran will take place “within two weeks to two months.”

The radio said that a US attack against Tehran is not expected in the coming few days.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has told all citizens to evacuate Iran, warning that in just a few hours, there will be ‘no more possibility’ to do so.

It comes on the heels of a potential US attack in Iran within the next few days after nuclear talks failed to yield any progress.

It comes as one Trump adviser told Axios: ‘The boss is getting fed up. Some people around him warn him against going to war with Iran, but I think there is 90% chance we see kinetic action in the next few weeks.’

Sources have suggested that any conflict would likely be a joint operation with Israel.

Special Envoy Steve Witkoff warned Saturday that Iran could be "a week away" from having "industrial-grade bomb-making material," raising urgent questions about what President Donald Trump could do next to address the looming threat.

"It’s up to 60%," Witkoff said of Iran’s enrichment level. "They’re probably a week away from having industrial-grade bomb-making material."

[It's more accurate to say that it's still at 60%. Unless there's something else he neglected to mention, this is no different from the situation a year or two ago.]
