  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

After Jesus returns, he will inspect those who have survived the tribulation and will separate the righteous from the wicked, the sheep from the goats (Mat 25:31-46). I believe this separation is represented by the 1290 days and 1335 days from the abomination of desolation in the middle of the week (Daniel 9:27 and 12:11-12), which is related to and explained by the 300 men that were killed in Susa, and the 75,000 who hated the Jews and were killed in the king's provinces (Esther 9:15-16).

Daniel 12:11-12 And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up (in the middle of the week, Dan 9:27) there shall be 1,290 days (which is 1260 days + 30 days). (12) Blessed is he who waits and arrives at the 1,335 days (which is 1260 days + 75 days).

Esther 9:15-16 The Jews who were in Susa gathered also on the fourteenth day of the month of Adar and they killed 300 men in Susa (symbolic for God's judgment of the wicked in Israel after 1290 days), but they laid no hands on the plunder. (16) Now the rest of the Jews who were in the king's provinces also gathered to defend their lives, and got relief from their enemies and killed 75,000 of those who hated them, but they laid no hands on the plunder.

The 75,000 who hated the Jews and were killed in the king's provinces, represent God's complete judgment of the wicked in all the nations after 1335 days from the abomination of desolation in the middle of the 7 year tribulation.

Why is God's name absent in the story of Esther?

After Jesus returns, he will inspect those who have survived the tribulation...
1st off, I don't believe the 3.5 year Reign of Antichrist is a "tribulation" period to punish the world and something the saints simply have to "survive." Rather, the Great Tribulation, as described by Jesus, is a punishment of the Jewish People throughout the present NT era.

It was not originally described as a punishment of the entire world, but rather, a punishment of the Jewish People. Since Jewish Sin is being punished, Jewish believers are described as being persecuted.

But this is not the Reign of Antichrist, since Jesus was speaking primarily of the suffering of Jewish believers in the 1st generation of the Church. Certainly believers in other nations will suffer in the Reign of Antichrist but this period is not described in the Bible as being the "Great Tribulation."

I think some mistakenly describe the Reign of Antichrist as a period in which God judges the world by degrees--similar to how Egypt was judged in Moses' time by a number of successive plagues. In fact, the book of Revelation uses similar language to that of the Plagues to describe how the Antichristian world will come to its end, just as the Egyptian Army came to its end through the Plagues and at the Red Sea.

But the last Plagues mentioned in the book of Revelation is taking place at the time just before the coming of Christ, and not throughout the 3.5 years of Antichrist's rule. It is designed to punish Antichrist at the end of his rule, and not so much during his rule.

As such, the Plagues are not something the Church has to "survive." The way the Church "survives" is by resurrection at the coming of Christ, and not necessarily by living through this period of time. The time of punishment is at the end of Antichrist's rule, and Christians, whether they live or die in this time, are not suffering "punishment" the same way Antichrist and his followers are.

and will separate the righteous from the wicked, the sheep from the goats (Mat 25:31-46). I believe this is represented by the 1290 days and 1335 days from the abomination of desolation in the middle of the week (Daniel 9:27 and 12:11-12), when combined with the 300 men that were killed in Susa and the 75,000 who hated the Jews and were killed in the king's provinces in Esther 9:15-16.
2nd, the 1290 days and the 1335 days in Dan 12 refer, I believe, not to the Reign of Antichrist, but rather, to the Reign of Antiochus 4 of Syria. His reign of terror against Jerusalem lasted 1290 days, and end with his death. But it may have taken more days to deliver this news from a distant land all the way to Jerusalem, namely until the 1335th day.

3rd, I don't believe the Abomination of Desolation takes place in the middle of a supposed 70th Week (Dan 9). There were two Abominations of Desolations in the book of Daniel, and not just one. Antiochus 4 is described as an AoD in Dan 8, 11, and 12. And the Roman Army is also described as being an AoD in Dan 9.

The 70th Week was completed with the death of Christ, which took place midway in the 70th and last Week, dating from approx. 457 BC. That's when the Persian ruler initiated the final phase of a policy of Cyrus, restoring Jerusalem and the Temple worship. Following these final temple reforms of Artaxerxes, Nehemiah completed the building of Jerusalem's walls, followed by the completion of the city structure.

I do recognize there are different views of this. This is just mine.

Randy, Daniel 12:11-12 is preceded by Daniel 12:9 which indicates that the 1290 days and the 1335 days are "time of the end". Not back in Antiochus 4's time.

Daniel 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

Yes, that's true. Prior to the mention of the 1290 days we had heard of the resurrection, as well as of the 3.5 years that were associated in Dan 7 with the Antichrist.

As I believe I've told you before, I view this chapter as a summary of the entire book of Daniel, with a focus on two of the most important events that were still "future" to Daniel--the Reign of Antichrist and the Reign of Antiochus 4. Daniel was asking about all of these things, and not just about the endtimes.

His readers at that time and in the near future would be concerned not just about the end of time but also about the problems closer to their time frame, when the Syrians would challenge their religion and very existence as God's People. And so both of these events were addressed--the end of the age, and the reign of Antiochus 4.

Both events were mentioned here in Dan 12, Dan 12.7 addressing the Reign of Antichrist and Dan 12.11 addressing the Reign of Antiochus 4. I hope this helps you to understand my perspective?

The 1335 comes before the 1290 AoD and the 1290 comes 30 days before the 1260 middle of the week, the day the Wrath of God (DOTL) starts.

1335 happens 1335 days before the 2nd coming of Jesus ENDS ALL THESE WONDERS, its the Two-witnesses showing up to turn Israel back unto God (the 1/3 or "144,000 which is 5 million Jew who repent)

The 1290 is the False Prophet (Jewish High Priest) who from afar, stops Jesus worship in "his temple" 45 days after Israel repent and praise Jesus in the temple but 30 days before AC is allowed to go forth conquering which makes him the Beast (7th head). This happens 30 days after 1290 AoD, this gives the Jews who repent 30 days to flee Judea. All this happens 1290 days before the 2nd coming end the wonders.

The 1260 is of course the day the AC becomes the Beast AND the day God's Wrath falls on. This Asteroid Impact will take out the USA and make the AC paths straight, he would not try to conquer Israel without them being sidelined. His rule will last for 1260 days then all those wonders Daniel were shown will end.

As I believe I've told you before, I view this chapter as a summary of the entire book of Daniel,
.....the entire book of Daniel ? no. Daniel 10, 11, 12 chapters were a vision that Daniel had during the third year of Cyrus, the Persian King.

I am going to start a thread, where we analysis under who's reign Daniel had his visions.

Your word is not God's word. If you think God said the 3.5 year reign of Antichrist is the "Great Tribulation," mentioned in Jesus' Olivet Discourse you're going to have to prove that. Accepting your word alone is for slaves and fools.

As for my proof that the "Great Tribulation" in the Olivet Discourse referred to the Jewish Diaspora, just read Luke 21. There, it is described as a *Jewish Punishment* that lasts from the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD until the Return of Christ at the end of the age. That is when Israel is to be restored as a nation of God.

Luke 21.20 “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22 For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. 23 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. 24 They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."
