Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Local outlets previously reported that the shooter, now known to be Dorgan, was thought to be a man wearing women’s clothing. Speculation then grew online as those on social media raced to name the suspect. Many have identified a Rhode Island-based account promoting transgender ideology with a nearly identical name of "Roberta Dorgano" that threatened violence against conservatives for their anti-transgender beliefs just one day before the shooting took place.

We HAVE TO MAINTAIN that the real problem here is guns. If we ban all guns there will be no gun violence. There may murder by knife and bomb and poison and all manner of other things like intentional train derailments but at least the gun violence will stop. I'm sure the anti-gun people have already started their anti-gun response.

But this is crazy. Bat crazy. Robert becomes Roberta and kills people. It is being played out over and over and over again.

Drugs have been illegal for decades but I can go to any city and buy drugs. It will be the same way for guns if they are outlawed

There have been 165 mass shootings in the United States since August 27th, 2025, the last time a mass shooting was carried out by someone identified as being transgender. Yesterday's shooting was only the 6th in the past 10 years carried out by someone identified as being transgender. Around 1% of the US population identifies as transgender, and less than one-tenth of 1 percent of mass shootings have been carried out by transgender people. "Transgender shooting" isn't a thing; in fact, transgender people are highly underrepresented, not overrepresented, when it comes to those committing mass shootings.

A mother-of-three was murdered alongside her child after her transgender ex-husband opened fire at a high school hockey game in Rhode Island.

Rhonda Dorgan, 52, was shot dead by her ex-husband Robert Dorgan - who also went by the name Roberta Esposito - at their son's hockey game at the Lynch Arena in Pawtucket, a few miles outside Providence, on Monday afternoon.

Rhonda died at the indoor skating rink while her son was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Two other family members and a family friend were injured in the shooting, WPRI reported.
