CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's not cogent though. Several administrations have declared that there are no more charges to be brought. Therefore there's not sweetheart deal plea bargain to be made with anyone.

So what? the topic of the thread is "Trump wins with Epstein files " and large groups Trump supporters AND Trump attackers are outraged that Epstein and associates got away with so much for so long and are appalled that Epstein files are being dismissed as a nothing burger. This means the Epstein files are a loss for Trump.

An email included in the document release shows Epstein was considering contacting Mr Trump in 2011 — years after the president says the pair had fallen out.

The email indicates Epstein wanted to talk about Virginia Roberts Giuffre, whose allegations about Epstein and former prince Andrew had begun to appear in the British press.
There is a reason Trump tried so hard to keep the files from publication and moved Maxwell into a Club Fed type prison.

The Democratic DOJ, Biden's courts and Biden House and Senate majority had the files for YEARS and not one of them thought it important enough to help the victims and release the files - it's reduced to innuendo and baseless accusations - even if there is a million times - of course, there is no proof of the accusation.

Who told you that? Epstein had a 2008 conviction in Florida and got a sweetheart deal thanks to Alexander Acosta who now works for the Trump Administration. He got 13 months in jail with extensive work release. Those where state charges. I don't find anything that the documents tied to that case went to the DOJ. The focus of that Presidential administration (after 2008) was the Great Recession.
Then Epstein was arrested and committed suicide (or was killed) in 2019 when Trump was president. His DOJ didn't do anything as Epstein was dead.
During Biden's term, he had Covid to deal with and economic problems. Under US AG Garland, the SDNY went after Ghislane Maxwell and she was convicted of conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minor girls.
Trump promised to release the files if reelected as his base figured they would 'get the Dems' and Bill Clinton in particular. He resisted once elected and moved Maxwell to a much improved situation. According to Marjorie Taylor Green, Trump blew up at her when she said she would reveal names and yelled "My friends will get hurt." Many in the administration are in the files. hmmmm...

Edit: According to what I read when I looked it up, there is no verified evidence that Trump personally ordered Maxwell’s transfer.
