CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No its not. Drinking and driving is not illegal.
Yes Pretti was wrong to insert himself into law enforcement actions which is obstructing and put his hands on an officer which by federal standards is against the law. It was STUPID of him to do so while being armed. He should have stayed out of it.
The shooting itself is a different matter due to legal standards regarding to use of force. And the standards are set. Since we don't have enough information we have no idea if the standards were met or not.

Protests are not the problem. What these agitators weee doing was not protesting.
Yes the agitators escalated the situation. Its their fault. If they would have let ICE do their job, we would have two prople still alive. And probably more criminals removed.

I guess you're in that alt-right universe where there are no such things as DUI, since "DUI" is what you said.
It certainly annoyed the Border Patrol agent, but it was not wrong for him to try to protect a woman from a government agent's excessive force that could have resulted in her permanent injury.

Let me help. It is not illegal to drink and drive. However some people drink too much and are DUI. Some people drink and drive thinking they ars okay but act irresponsibly and stupidly with their freedom to drink and drive. Then they commit illegal acts.
Thats what Pretti did. Took a right acted stupid with it and committed crimes while doing it. He acted stupid and irresponsible. That does not mean he deserved to die or get shot. It means he most certainly bears a lot of responsibility for what happened.
Nonsense the woman was NOT sprayed. She was only shoved. By any measurable standard she was in no danger of permanent injury.
