Infrared thermometers measure infrared light which is not visible light, so it is nonsense to speak of light being warmer or cooler since all you are measuring is a specific bandwidth of invisible radiation

Normally like body temperature. They are relatively cheap is why I and other 'flat earthers' mention it.

The control could be the open air, or a controlled heat source, like an oven set to a specific temp.
Then one would get the temp of light coming from the moon, a ray of moon light. And then the temp of a non moon lit area. The moon light will be coolest.
In the morning, notice that the dawn does not cover the whole horizon, just the area the sun is approaching from. Also notice that often you can see the sun and moon in the sky at the same time.
Ancient buildings made to be in line with certain stars, are still in alignment today. No matter where in the world, anyone looking up sees the same set of stars, moving in the same courses they always have.
