Matthew 20:1-16, and Jesus says after people working all day are paid the same as those who only worked an hour and as they complained, with the evil eye... that they would be the least in Heaven. We can be great or mediocre or the least. Rewards do not make us great. Love matters, the evil eyed seemed to lack it, after so many years working for the salvation of souls they missed their forte, and the consequence is eternal, breaking Jesus heart, for that He paid for with His own blood did not come to best fruition.
And for me, and perhaps others, eternal greatness in Heaven, is more important than being rich, it lasts forever. twice as glorious as Adam when young or ten times? Or even a hundred and coming to look like the angel in the book of Revelation.
I think keys to greatness are in God's hands but we can fumble, the response to a sprinkling in Jesus' sacred blood. Efficient, much response, or little? Living water, the fire of God, the oil? God's sheer light and love? Wisdom from oil and reverence... How we know the scriptures? How we die matters. How we are refreshed in the light of afterlife.
When we see what looks unfair we need to be ready to discipline ourselves to praise God for for His kind generosity He shows each of us.
What do other believer's post?
