In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

"A widely covered Minnesota court hearing in which a federal prosecutor told a judge "this job sucks" saw the same judge reveal that "hundreds" of the people brought before him for immigration proceedings during Operation Metro Surge have the legal right to live in the United States.
U.S. District Court Judge Jerry W. Blackwell said the "overwhelming majority" of people brought to his court by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs & Border Protection (CBP) since the Trump administration's crackdown started have been "lawfully present" in the country.
It backs up the growing number of witness accounts and victim testimonies that the federal operation has expanded way beyond the supposed scope of targeting undocumented immigrants with violent criminal histories, with refugees, legal permanent residents, and even U.S. citizens being swept up in the crackdown" --YAHOO

That's what happens when you have a 3000 per day quota. Surely no one can be happy with this?

In an exclusive interview for an upcoming book, Tom Homan warned that public support for aggressive immigration tactics could falter.

In an exclusive interview in June for the forthcoming book “Undue Process: The Inside Story of Trump’s Mass Deportation Program,” Homan warned that a failure to prioritize those arrests could cost the Trump administration support with the public.
“I think the vast majority of the American people think criminal illegal aliens need to leave. And if we stick to that prioritization, I think we keep the faith of the American people,” Homan said on June 16, as Border Patrol agents, under the direction of commander Greg Bovino, were conducting their first large-scale raids in Los Angeles.
“And I think the more we do that, the more the American people will support what President Trump’s doing. We got to do it and we’ve got to do it in a humane manner.”
