CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Probably because the worst years of the Biden administration are still eons better than the best days of the Trump administration. Seeing as the only way you can conceive of wanting to protest the government is to collect a check for doing it, it just reaffirms you were just complaining to complain because admitting things went well is too much of a ding to the ol' ego.
Unless of course you’re implying I have less to do with my time than you do, at which case I’d just say I make time for things that are important like fundamental rights and keeping the populace from being executed by forces even the president admits were too forceful.

Nope, this current administration is the worse this nation has ever had. Prices are up, people are losing healthcare, our allies are turning away from us, the billionaires are grabbing more and more control, and our president is an embarrassment who has issues with the truth.
