Evangelist Shane Pruitt is calling out “indecent exposure” at public events following the viral clips of a famous artist’s topless red carpet appearance at the Grammy Awards.
Pruitt serves as the Southern Baptist Convention’s (SBC) director of next gen evangelism for the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and recently released a free e-book titled “You Can’t Talk About That.” The book is aimed at helping parents and ministry leaders address the topics of sex, gender, and mental health with today’s students and young adults.
“Olympic Ceremonies, Parades, Red Carpet events, Award Shows, etc.,” Pruitt posted on social media. “When Kids are present at public events ‘indecent exposure’ and ‘indecency with a child’ laws should still apply.”
“The normalization of celebrities and ideologies exposing themselves to kids is nothing short of demonic,” he added.
