  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

He did ok in his first term but he is a totally different guy now.
It's the same guy without the moderating filter of adults in the room.

"Rehmet’s upset victory, according to interviews Sunday with half a dozen people who supported or worked on his campaign, is explained by a variety of factors, including the combination of Latino and suburban backlash to once-fringe conservative policies that have taken root in Tarrant County and Washington; a MAGA opponent who drove some of those policies and embraced them on the campaign trail; and a message from Rehmet, centered on his union background, that won over working-class voters, independents and even some moderate Republicans.

Instrumental to Rehmet’s victory was the backing he received from Hispanics, who account for slightly more than one in five eligible voters in the district. One analyst found that Rehmet outperformed Harris, the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, by more than 50 points in some of the largely Hispanic areas of Fort Worth."

This Texas turnout of this 31 point swing:

"Around 51% of the turnout was Republican, while some 35% was Democrat. Yet Senator-Elect Taylor Rehmet won state SD 9 with 57% of the vote."

That tells me a lot of Texas Republicans voted for the Democrat.

Democrat wins Louisiana state House special seat in district Trump won

Louisiana Democrat Chasity Verret Martinez defeated her Republican opponent by double digits in the special election Saturday night for a state House seat in a district President Trump won by 13 points in 2024.
Martinez won 62% of the vote compared to 38% for her Republican opponent, Brad Daigle, according to unofficial results from the Louisiana Secretary of State.
I am cautiously optimistic. But that's one heck of a swing.

It's easy with election fraud.

Clearly unpossible. We all read the threads about how the dems had totally collapsed, were to be seen no more, consigned to the dust bin of history an all that.
Yes, and as I explained to those who posted those threads, the disdain was by Dems at Dems because they don't go hard enough.
