"Get thee behind me, Satan..."

Peace in Christ.

The “princes”….which means “first”…of this age come to nothing as they have crucified the Lord of GLORY. It is the Lord of GLORY rather than the suffering Christ that they have crucified from this earth. His glory is currently not being seen in this earth.

The princes love to be “first” among the man-based churches. They are “princes” and they know not what they do as the wisdom of God is being hid from them.

The Lord has ALREADY been raised to glory….and yet His glory is not being seen currently in this earth in this age because they are serving for their own belly rather than the Lord Jesus Christ. This is has blinded their minds to the truth of the gospel. The “god of this age”…the serving for their own belly…has blinded their minds to it.

The gospel is hid from the minds in those who are perishing…mortally perishing to the grave...and are leading MANY down that broad way to destruction. They are pastoring the flock of the slaughter. They are the vessels of His wrath. The wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience.

1Co 2:6-8 KJV
(6) Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world (AGE), nor of the princes of this world (AGE), that come to nought:
(7) But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
(8) Which none of the princes of this world (AGE) knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

His people….the “heavens”…have NO LIGHT to shine to the people of the outside world (the “earth”).

The earth became “without form”…without the form of Christ (the Lord of glory) and are void…void of the knowledge of the glory of God because His people have NO KNOWLEDGE to do good and have no understanding. Yet, the are wise to do evil. The princes of this age come to nothing.

Jer 4:22-23 KJV
(22) For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
(23) I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

His “visage”…that is, His view…is being marred more than any man. His FORM is being marred by those who do not know what they are doing as they have crucified the Lord of glory so that the outside world cannot “see” Him.

His people are not manifesting Him to the darkened world around us for they are dark themselves. The nations around us see us and are “astonied” as we are not manifesting His presence to them. They look at us and do not see His form and so are not attracted to us. They hate us instead and blaspheme His holy name among them.

Isa 52:14 KJV
(14) As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

The Son of the man (Greek: anthropos) goes (withdrawing as if sinking out of sight) as it is written of Him.

He “goes”….PRESENT TENSE… as it is written of Him. He is being betrayed/given up (PRESENT TENSE).

He is being given up (betrayed) and so His form is not being seen among His people by the people of the outside world. The people of the outside world are the seeing man.

Mat 26:23-25
(24) The Son of THE man goeth (PRESENT TENSE) as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

The Son of the "man" ("man" = "anthropos" = From “aner” (meaning “man”) and ὤψ ōps (the countenance; from “optanomai “ which means “ to gaze” …that is, with wide open eyes, as at something remarkable).

The Son of the SEEING man (the outside man who has eyes to see with) goes away…sinking out of sight. The outside seeing people cannot “see” the Son has His people are not manifesting His “visage”…His view…to them. The Son of the seeing man goes away (present tense) so that they cannot “see” Him.

The man-based churches …their elders and chief priests and scribes….have crucified the Lord of glory. His glory is not being seen in this earth because of them who have no understanding of what they do.

Mat 16:21-25 KJV
(21) From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
(22) Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

We must depart out from among the man-based churches where they are saying “this is not unto you.” This is not so. "Be if far from you"...this is not so.

They will deny that this is happening. This is exactly what is going on….the Lord of glory is crucified among them. Satan and his ministers are actively doing this.

We must leave them behind and follow Him out of them: “ Get thee behind me, Satan.” Satan and his ministers savor the things of men….their church handwritings of ordinances, the doctrines and commandments of men…rather than the things of God (that are understood only by the Spirit of God).

Satan is an “offence” unto Him. The man-based churches are a “trap” where they are being deluded into serving the sin rather than dying to it and so are not manifesting the life of Jesus in their mortal flesh.

The Greek word skandalon literally refers to the trigger mechanism of a trap or a stumbling block that causes someone to trip. In the New Testament, it metaphorically signifies an obstacle, an offense, or a, "snare" that causes someone to stumble into the sin.

Satan and his ministers are using the church handwritings of men to get people to serve the sin rather than die to it. The church handwritings of ordinances are devices …trigger mechanisms of a trap….used by Satan and his ministers to get you to serve the sin rather than die to it.

They JUDGE others supposedly in HIS NAME/authority using their handwritings (the things of men) when God is the Only Judge. Who are we to judge another? We are serving the sin when we do. Only One Judge can save or destroy. We are not judges for God as that is His sole authority.

(23) But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

We must “come after Him”….denying our own religious church denominational thoughts and ways…taking up our cross (the stake that has anchored us in the man-based churches) and follow Him out of the man-based churches. Get thee behind me Satan. We are never to look back.

(24) Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
(25) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

We must forget those things (the things of men) which are behind (get thee behind me Satan) and reach forth unto those things (the things of God) which are before us.

Php 3:13-14 KJV
(13) Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
(14) I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

We must count all the man-based things as a loss for Christ.

Php 3:6-9 KJV
(6) Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
(7) But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

We are to count all things (man-based church things) a loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus our Lord. Never mind the “princes of this age” and their things. They come to nothing. They perish. We must count their things as “dung”...leaving it all behind.... so that we may win Christ.

(8) Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Saul/Paul did not go about defending his own “righteousness” (which was Law-based) but believed in Christ and His knowledge when he heard it.

We must also not go about defending our own “righteousness” which for us was derived from the church handwriting of ordinances but be found in Him at the hearing of the knowledge of Christ. For Paul, it was Law-based righteousness...but for us it is our denominational church handwritings' supposed "works of righteousness" that we once adhered to.

(9) And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Some of those who attend man-based churches will "oppose themselves" as they will hear the Word of Truth and speak evil of it...being "drunk" on the wine of wrath. Hopefully God will give those who have been taken captive (captive in the man-based churches where his ministers are) "repentance"...to change the mind...to acknowledge the full Truth (the excellency of the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ) so that they may "recover themselves"....be sober at the revelation of Jesus Christ who teaches us.

We are to hear His knowledge and change our minds and lose our own religious thoughts and ways for His thoughts and ways our higher than our own.

2Ti 2:24-26 KJV
(24) And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
(25) In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
(26) And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Peace in Christ.

We are to TURN from the power of Satan unto God. In other words, “Get thee behind me Satan.” We are to turn…be “converted”...TURN…from darkness unto light. When we "turn", then Satan is behind us and we face God.



The apostle Peter is symbolic of what has happened to His church throughout history….to the believers that believe that Christ is the Son of the living God.

We must pay attention to what happened with the man Peter 2000 years ago to see what has happened to His people who believe in Christ, the Son of the living God throughout this time period of 2000 years.

Mat 16:15-18
(15) He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
(16) And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
(17) And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon son of Jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Satan has made war with His people. He was given authority to do so: “And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you (PLURAL), that he may sift (you) as wheat.”

Satan was given authority to test His people…sifting them as wheat…just as he was given authority to test Job. Job 1:12 .

His tares…his own ministers… were sown among the wheat. The enemy has sown them among us. The man-based churches are the domain of darkness where Satan has his throne as he was given authority to test the believers of Christ.

Satan’s ministers…their mouths… are the “gates” that open up and speak falsehoods (deceit) rather than the truth and lead many astray to their mortal deaths…without manifesting the life of Jesus in their mortal flesh which would have given them an age-lasting life (aka “eternal life”).

Their throat (singular for they all do this) is an open grave.

( Rom 3:13-14 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
(14) Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness)

They are the gates of “hell”…that is, Hades which means “unseen one, grave, death.”

They have the power of death in their tongues as they speak/preach falsehoods to their congregations….leading MANY astray down the broad way to their mortal destruction.

(18) And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell (Hades) shall not prevail against it.

Satan has desired to have “you” (PLURAL). While addressed to Peter, the original Greek uses a plural "you" which means that this applies to ALL of His people….the believers who believe that Christ is the Son of God.

Luk 22:31-34
(31) And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you (PLURAL), that he may sift (you) as wheat:

He prays for us…to be filled with all wisdom and knowledge.

We are to be “converted”…to turn again…back to God. We are to turn from the power…the authority…of Satan unto God. We are to turn from darkness to light. Get behind me Satan.

We are to leave the man-based churches and not be unequally yoked together with them. What does light have in communion with darkness?

We are to strengthen our brothers by preaching the Word of Truth to them.

(32) But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted (TURN), strengthen thy brethren.
(33) And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.
(34) And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

The eyes of our understanding are to be opened so that we might turn from darkness to light….from the “power” (Greek word = exousia = AUTHORITY, privilege) of Satan unto God.

Act 26:17-18
(17) Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
(18) To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power (authority) of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

He delivers….rescues …us from the power (Greek word = exousia = authority) of darkness and translates…to transfer…to carry away… us into the kingdom of His dear Son. We are delivered from the man-based churches…the power/authority of darkness.

Col 1:12-14 KJV
(12) Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
(13) Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
(14) In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

What we have witnessed so far in Christian history are the vessels of His wrath. This applies to both Jew and Gentile.

Rom 9:19-24 KJV
(19) Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
(20) Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

The vessels of His wrath were sown in dishonor. They believed in Christ, the Son of God but mortally perished because of listening to false prophets who led them astray from the path that leads to His manifest life.

They attended man-based churches all of their lives and mortally perished without hearing the word of the truth of the gospel that their preachers did not preach to them because they had no understanding of it.

The vessels of His mercy shall be delivered from the man-based churches unto glory. They will hear the Word of Truth and depart from them and be separate.

(21) Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
(22) What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
(23) And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

This applies to both groups.

(24) Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

The vessels of His wrath will be saved for Jesus is both the Lord of the “dead” and the living.

Christ both died and rose and revived that He might be Lord both of the dead (vessels of His wrath that mortally perished) and the living (the vessels of His mercy who will inherit an age-lasting life in their mortal bodies).

Rom 14:7-9 KJV
(7) For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
(8) For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
(9) For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

The vessels of His wrath were sown perishable…they all have mortally perished…but they shall be raised unperishable (incorruption). They were sown in dishonor but will raised in glory. They were sown in weakness but will be raised in power.

1Co 15:42-43 KJV
(42) So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
(43) It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

The vessels of His mercy shall not “sleep” as the vessels of His wrath. They will not mortally perish for the duration of this age like the vessels of His wrath did. They will be changed from mortal to immortal (without ever seeing mortal death) at the LAST DAY of this age.

1Co 15:50-56 KJV

The vessels of His wrath…the corruptible…will then put on incorruption. The vessels of His mercy shall then have their mortal bodies (that did not perish ) put on immortality.

(53) For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

When both groups (the vessels of His wrath and the vessels of His mercy) will ALL have been “changed” at the very last day of this age, then death is completely swallowed up in victory. Death is the LAST enemy to be conquered and happens at the very end of this age…the last day of this age.

(54) So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
(55) O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
(56) The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
