CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace, a South Carolina Republican, also denounced the assault.
"I am deeply disturbed to learn that Rep. Ilhan Omar was attacked at a town hall today" Mace said via X. "Regardless of how vehemently I disagree with her rhetoric - and I do - no elected official should face physical attacks. This is not who we are."

Security was protecting her from herself. Although incredibly dumb, he squirted her with presumably vinegar. Then she had this , "Oh no you dinint" moment and probably went to him to throw some slaps on his shoulder while he likely would have laughed it off. I bet that in her mind she though she could "take care" of the man herself, but in reality, she would have been knocked on the ground after only one hit. Not condoning it, but you made it a "She-Man, I am woman, hear me roar" thing when any sane person would say that anytime a woman goes toe-to-toe in physical combat, the odds are heavily stacked against the woman. This is why women should not compete against biological men in sports. Now, back to reality and stop the cheerleading.
