  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

From my understanding whistles are legal under Freedom of Speech, however they are being used at a level and consistency that may cause permanent damage from cumulative exposure, possibly causing hearing damage and tinnitus. I'm not sure what level is required for whistle blowing to move from speech to possible assault (that is an action that may cause significant damage to officers).

The tactics are to get in and out and avoid confronting agitators unless absolutely necessary. The other choice was to bring in more people and arrest every person who obstructs or assaults or goes beyond barricades.
The tactics from the Dems such as Waltz and Frey was to protect illegal criminals rather than hand them over as part of immigration law. But now I think they are finally realising that they were wrong and are starting to cooperate like the rest of the nation.

Not just that. Imagine going into a dangerous situation in detaining in illegal criminal who may be a serious murderer or gang member. While having loud whistles, car horms, fire works, smoke bombs and crazy people screaming at you.

It would be like going into a war zone blind folded with one arm tied behind your back. They are actually hindering law enforcement and putting the officers, neighbours and themselves in danger.

They are more or less helping the criminals escape.

According recent videos, they were.

They weren't made by that group. What another group of protesters may have done, doesn't effect all protesters.

The officer walks across the street and shoves Pretti after some heated words were exchanged. He also shoves other protesters.

Pretti is later seen filming ICE agents as the agents pepper spray a woman. She stumbles away and Pretti goes to her aid. Agents then grab Pretti and pepper spray him and he begins to struggle with them.

Pretti is on this hands and knees as agents are trying to get him on his belly. One agent yells gun and removes the gun from Pretti's waist. That officer turns away from the struggle and another officer who had been watching the first agent points his weapon at Pretti's back and begins shooting.

It's illegal to resist a lawful arrest, which hasn't been established. Many people are arrested and charged with resisting but charges are dismissed because of an unlawful arrest.

People should not resist any arrest attempt but it is hard when a person is being attacked by the arrestee. Pepper spray can disorientate people and their actions can be misinterpreted as resistance.
He seemed like a nice guy just taken in by all of that propaganda from political leaders. Tragic.

It now turns out that Pretti had a previous run in with officers and that he was part of an organised group trained in agitating ICE. The other women he is suppose to be helping is part of the group. They work tigether to distract and interfere with officers.

The pushing you see is the officers pushing agitators away after they had told them once, twice, three times and more to stay away. But Pretti kept coming, kept interfering. You would think he had learnt from the last time not to interfer with law enforcement officers.

These griups are now so organised that the have tracking tech and and doxing ICE agents. They are hounding down innocent people because they happen to be driving an SUV. Then they are subjecting them to the very same harrassment they claim ICE are doing. Questioning who they are, where they live, asking for ID ect.

They are doing exactly what they protest against.

I don't think they Frey or Omar or Walz want to de-escalate.

Yes, that is there M.O. The rules, regulations, and laws are for others, not for them.

Yes, that is there M.O. The rules, regulations, and laws are for others, not for them.
As it turns out Pretti had previously harassed ICE before yelling at them, then spitting at them and then kicking in their vechicle and breaking a tail light.

The officers then detained him and for some reason let him go. So he was already itching for a conrontation when he agitated them again.

Also remember that Pretti was carrying a gun with amo. A licence gun holder has a higher obligation to avoid confrontation. Pretti was breaking laws all over the place. He did the exact opposite of a law abiding citizen.

Then there were more agitators screaming at ICE for detaining him. Like he can spit and smash property and theres no accountability. It shows they don't care about the law and are willing to commit violence and damage property at will to get their way.

But on top of that they are making Pretti a civil rights hero, a martyr for the cause. Speaking of him as though he is a saint. Pastor of a church heralding him as a hero putting his body on the line. Objecting that people are making out Pretti was an agitator and tarnishing his hero status.

They are not only agitating law enforcement officers. They are also protecting criminals and the agitators who break the law protecting them. And Dem leaders were there supporting them. Waltz and Flanegan have previously declared to the agitators to put their bodies on the line and now they are literally doing it.

This is tragic, sad and unnecessary for all those involved.

PS another 16 have been arrested now for agitating officers. Some by local police. So it looks like the local law enforcement are now working with ICE.

Whats more it appears Pretti was part of this organised resistence against ICE and federal law. More will come out.

But this is more or less organised insurrection and bordering on a form of terrorism. If agitators like Pretti are going out and spitting on agents with hate and smashing their cars, willing to drive them down, and dox them so they are murdered. Carry loaded guns against federal agents.

Then that is a form of terror IMO and some leaders have encouraged this.
