So you believe people carrying guns legally should be shot by law enforcement? I see somebody open carrying in Walmart and I can shoot them 10-14 times? I thought the “we can’t take guns out of people’s hands even though kids are being shot in half in schools because of 2A and it’s unfair to assume somebody with a gun is a threat” and “if more people carried guns, there will be less crime” said this situation is exactly when people should carry guns.

Changing your tune?

Even if technically legal to carry, it is still stupid to take a loaded gun to an anti police protest where you intend to insert yourself into the hostilities that are happening along with the hostile people that are attacking police. It would be just as stupid to bring a loaded gun and extra magazines with you to a bar because people get drunk there and do hostile things to other people and you want something that you shoot them with. The wisest thing to do is to stay away from trouble. Not to arm yourself and then insert yourself where trouble is happening.

So then you think 2A isn’t universal and people like Kyle Rittenhouse and Pretti were not wise in their decision to carry? That carrying a gun should only be in calm, docile situations?

I did. I've got no news articles indicating that Alex Pretti pulled out any gun.

Well, from the videos it seems that the only one who took Pretti's gun from its holster was a CBP officer.

Do you mean to imply that you have access to a video that shows Alex Pretti drawing the gun? Or why do you think that happened?

I see no screencaps of the video which show he had pulled a weapon on them and you know what? You're correct about Aryeh's post, but you're likely missing how bad Poe's Law is making some look here. There are 2 posters at least (not you ((yet))) that claim Pretti fired a shot. That Aryeh's satire cannot be distinguished from genuine conservative posts here without knowing Aryeh's many posts, should be concerning to those on that side of the viewpoint.

Watching the videos I think it's clear that Pretti didn't fire his weapon but it may have went off when one of the agents took it from him. (That model seems to be subject to accidental discharge)That may be what caused one agent to open fire.
As more videos have come out it looks like Pretti wasn't doing anything wrong and that a woman who had been pepper sprayed grabbed onto him to keep from falling down and that is how he got into the situation.

What's more foolish looking: falling victim to a well done Poe's Law, or claiming that Pretti fired a gun himself (thus providing cover to handwave away ICE culpability)?
