CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What difference does it make if he was armed, if he wasn't brandishing the weapon?
We don't know the full story here, but all the video evidence so far pretty clearly contradicts how you are trying to portray the incident. Do you have some video evidence that contradicts everything else that is out there?

First we can talk about the woman that we're told the federal agents shoved. If you look at the video, you'll see that she got right in the officer's face, which would explain why she ended up getting shoved. The guy was right there as well. Why? And do you think agents just tackle someone for no reason? Do you think a large number of them focused on that one guy for no reason? Then they shot him, and it was just a coincidence he was armed with a gun?

Last I checked, protesting and videotaping government agents was perfectly legal. It was the agent who first shoved a woman. The victim got between the agent and the woman, then agents sprayed and dogpiled him. One of them disarmed him and a moment later, another opened fire.
This is a still frame of the moment of the first shot. The guy with the grey hat and the reddish brim is already holding the victim’s gun and walking away with it. You can’t see the gun in this frame, but you can see it as he gets closer to the camera.

My government killed someone on Jan. 6th as well. What reaction did we hear from the exact same people who are now ANTI-federal law enforcement?

The woman who was shoved was being helped up by a different person while the guy in question was being pinned down.

Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter to Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota on Saturday that blamed him and other Democratic officials for allowing “lawlessness” in the state. It was not immediately clear if the letter had been sent before or after the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti.

I’m sure you can find that video elsewhere. It’s been posted in other threads.
What did we hear? We heard that it was bad to try to attack other people for no reason, which is what both Ashley Babbit and these agents were doing.
What I see is a pattern of folks on the right being perfectly okay with all manner of violence, including that waged by the government, so long as the victims are liberals, but one hair on a conservative’s head gets touched and suddenly the sky is falling.

Then you're being selective in what you're seeing in the video. Notice what the woman who was shoved was doing. She ran up to the officer and then blew a loud whistle right in his face. She's lucky she only got shoved. As for what the armed guy did, I'm sure that will come out. Oh wait, it already has:

Maybe that's what you see, but many of us also see the same with the other side. They held up federal Police officers up to be such great heros when had a president in the White House that was their choice. But now that they don't like the president, they throw the same federal officers under the bus, and seemed to think that attacking them in the street while they do their job is perfectly OK, and try to play the victim as being the "peaceful protesters". The videos of them attacking police (and even people attending church) shows what they're really like. Hardly different than the "mostly peaceful protesters" of the BLM riots (25 dead from that) which just so happened to get started in the exact same city as what we're seeing today. Hardly a coincidence.

When did MAGA conservatives become apologists for the federal government? This kind of thing is exactly what our great-grandfather's bemoaned. Now the feds are good? Don't defend this entity, this institution that takes tax payers money for no good end. Trust your eyes.
