CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Apparently, it's not a good idea to obey the carry laws because the government will just gun you down anyway. 1st and 2nd Amendment violations, which sound bad if it weren't plain murder.

Perhaps, but it is legal and guaranteed by the Constitution, and our conservative friends have frequently impressed upon us the necessity of having an armed society. If people in this country cannot exercise their legal rights without fear of being killed for doing so, then that illustrates a fundamental breakdown of societal order.
Ultimately, if one of the things that comes out of this is that people are no longer allowed to carry guns in public, I think that might be a net positive for society. But I'm not holding my breath for it actually happening.

He definitely was disarmed, and then they shot him down. Somebody probably heard "gun!" and then started firing because they've had two days training (signing papers, not getting background checks, etc.).

NO he did not. He was disarmed before there was any shooting. All gunshots were fired into a disarmed man laying on the ground. There are more videos showing him being disarmed first. It was murder.

If that is, and it seems to be the opinion of left wing agitators. Then what wacko reasoning concludes, hey the feds are shooting loud obnoxious punks, lets go block traffic, shout at them and blow whistles in their faces so that they can't do their jobs.
Maybe we should bring a gun and show them that we are serious about disrupting them from carrying out their mandate. Oh bless those illegals especially the criminal element. They didn't get enough hugs when they were children.

He was hardly alone, even in going armed - I've seen plenty of pictures of armed citizens in Minneapolis. Even more after today's events.

YES he did, the video along with a second one from the same side of the street show him fighting with the officers. He fires a shot that cause the officers to jump back and they RETURNED fire killing him.

How did he fire a shot with his gun holstered? It remained holstered until the ICE agent removed it and walked away with it just prior to the first shot which was fired by an ICE agent.
