Politics is boring and people treat it like religion

That's all I have to say about the matter, really, but it's why I don't participate in most discussions.

I grew up in a time where people weren't so engaged in politics.

It's changed because I think we are just being used as pawns by the system, so that we turn on each other, and are distracted from God.

Politics is the new religion.

I despise all the talk of politics everywhere and including on this forum.

I think people need Jesus and hobbies.

Human politics focuses on the wrong Kingdom and worships selfishness versus selflessness. The purpose is to keep the masses squabbling with each other instead of the powers that be.

I haven't voted or participated in politics since 1996, with one exception. In 2012
I threw my full support behind Ron Paul, to call the entire experience anticlimactic would be a gross understatement. Christ's Kingdom is not of this world. Therefore, my Kingdom should not be of this world. This seems to me so glaringly obvious from a christian perspective, and yet so many of my brothers and sisters clearly believe otherwise. Strange days indeed.

i used to be into politics. I used to be a Democrat because that's what my parents were. After 2008, I decided to change to Republican. I used to watch Fox News; I actively watched Glenn Beck when I was in college.

I changed to apolitical in either 2023 or 2024. They're both corrupt. America is last. They don't work for us, they work for somebody else.

We need to put Jesus first and inquire of Him about the truth.

The dividing between Republicans and Democrats is a cult in it's own right. I saw the same zealot behavior with Obama and Biden.

Acting like one is righteous because they support the 'moral' team as if politics has ever been moral or anything but corrupt showmanship.

It's disappointing to see grown adults playing along with theater, puppets arguing with one another about decisions politicians make and are not ever, nor have ever been, controlled or influenced by voting or keyboard warriors arguing amongst one another on a Christian forum, of all places.

Anyone playing the us vs them, Democrats vs Republican game is caught in the loop.

It would be so great to see everyone release themselves from the earthly bondage and turn to Jesus. I pray for it daily.

In my opinion many modern political commentators just seek to promote a narrative, whether Left or Right, that keeps them getting paid. You’re absolutely on point… people need hobbies and Jesus.

It also doesn't hurt to, not argue over politics, but remind the politicians and the media that they work for the people, and not themselves.

Where are the placards and billboards that say 'By the people, For ALL the people, Not Just Yourselves'.

Agreed. Satan means an adversary (adversarial to the Will of the Father). All humans are adversarial, hence our expulsion from the Garden. The world/kingdoms we have made in our own image is adversarial to the will of God (His Kingdom), so it is senseless to call one adversarial, and not all.
