His State is bleeding money - they have huge issues and he flies to DAVOS - why?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What do you mean by "bleeding money"? That California spends a lot? Well, it is a big state, with the largest economy in the US, fifth overall in the world if I recall correctly, so of course the state has a large amount of expenditures. Plus which, the state has a balanced budget, which even the US itself cannot claim.
Why would that disqualify the state's governor from speaking at an economic forum?
-- A2SG, seems to me running one of the world's largest economies would definitely qualify someone to talk at an economic forum....

At the moment, the California budget shows a shortfall. But at 1%-5% of the total budget, we're in much better shape than the federal budget (~25%).

Because he was the Keynote speaker, because he’s the president of the United States, because every president goes to Davos and is considered part of the leadership of the event.
Whereas not one other governor attended Davos. But the good California governor wants there to make political statements and did not speak at all, except to whine and cry about big bad Donald Trump.
He is setting up for his run for political office nothing more.
I didn’t see anyone laughing I saw everybody app plotting the president of the United States
I did, however here, Gavin Newsom insult every representative from Europe, saying something about they should’ve brought kneepads
